For steamed dumplings in a hurry, I definitely go here. I absolutely love pork dumplings with a little splash of soy sauce and a generous dunk in chilli oil. Unfortunately the steamed baskets had been prepared a while before I arrived, which was lunch time. The venue had a couple of groups present and there was no lunch time rush. My pork dumplings were sold to me at 10 pieces for $ 10.90. Being the first time I had been here, I just wanted to eat the dumplings. I also asked for the ugly burger. The person serving misheard me and sold me the ugly bowl which is two times the price of their burger. I didn’t correct her and got the noodle/egg and chilli chicken combination. Thoroughly impressed with the chilli chicken. Phew! It was pretty spicy. I’ve entered chilli eating contests and eaten whole bhut jolokhia.(ghost pepper) I’m a little out of practice and can still eat a vindaloo. Oh my Lord. Don’t get the chilli chicken if you think buttered chicken is too spicy! The egg foo young was absolutely dee-lish. The noodles tasted a bit plasticy. I will be going back to the Ugly Dumpling again. One day. It’s quite expensive and the food quality doesn’t match the price. If quality and nutrition are what you’re after, this is one place to avoid. Otherwise, if you’re like me, back the truck up boys. Cos I’m gonna be here a while!!! Yeehawww!!!
