AMAZING! I am a very harsh critic. Really, I have never given 5 stars on any review. ever. But here it is. I can say, hands down, this was the best breakfast I’ve had in a very long time in any of my world travels. Everything was done well. The quality of the ingredients was palatable. The presentation was lovely. The service was genuinely kind. We didn’t wait long to be seated. The coffees and teas were hot on arrival. I had the muesli and it was different, but very good. Coarse grains, whole fruit, and just the right amount of sweet and tart. The big breakfast with sausage, bacon, eggs, and potatoes was delicious! Those potatoes are scrumptious. We all picked at my uncle’s plate stealing them when he was distracted. I actually stole his little ramekin of tomatoes sauce. :p It reminded me of an Indian cuisine it was so fragrant and familiar. the French toast was like bananas foster with a Carmel and berry sauce. They put some bacon right in between the slices. Savory/sweet tooth satisfied. My mom, the vegetarian, loved the Portobello mushroom bruschetta. My plate was an alternative eggs benedict. I like the concept, but I can’t deal with the runny eggs.(I know, naïve palate) but the chef made an exception and I am SOGLAD he did. The hollandaise was like nothing I have ever tried before. Light, fluffy, creamy, savory. In my life, have I ever enjoyed it as much as I did at that breakfast. My hat is off to the three gentlemen in the kitchen. Kudos Chef! And I wish them all the success in the world. They deserve it.

I live just round the corner at this place is always busy. We got good food, good service and the price for what we got wasn’t bad at all. Just have a second place in mind as sometimes it’s hard to get a seat.

It feel likes Verve has been around forever. Quite literally, I think the last time I came here I was in high school. Anyway, not too much has changed. Nestled amongst the trees, there’s still that sunny, street-facing patio. Somewhat shielded from the gazes of passerby’s, it’s an idyllic place to enjoy your morning coffee. I also noticed on my last visit that their cake slices are v. generous — there Carrot Cake looked particularly good, perfect cake/icing ratio. This is a great spot for a business meeting — quiet, great coffee and loads of seats. Just bear in mind that there is waaaaaay more outdoor seating than indoor so if it’s wet and windy perhaps go elsewhere.
