I visit nearly every weekday & have done for the past 2 years. I’ve never had an issue with the staff, food or atmosphere. The staff are always so friendly. The kitchen staff are always busy making amazing creations and you can tell that they all respect their work place by how much passion they put into the service and food. They are doing a great job in recruiting the right people for both their FOH and kitchen staff. Welcome is always busy however the wait times for food are always reasonable! They have such a good range of food to choose from and their cabinets and menus cater to every dietary requirement possible ! The menu is healthy and they provide a lot of raw meals as well. As for the coffee. Probably the best coffee I’ve had in Auckland ! As for the atmosphere, the décor is impeccable and tidy, it treats my OCD well. It is a very modern establishment & the owners clearly have great taste in music as the music never fails me.

Yeah this place is totally 5 stars ! I don’t bandy about those babies like stickers to a 4 year old. This place is worth the trip . I was hoping for the other breakfast with the granita, but it had been up-graded to a sugar free breakfast with tapioca pearls and coconut yoghurt, pumpkin seeds, raspberry and toasted coconut. Who knew tapioca was delicious? I’ve made that at home and it turned into some sort of science experiment nightmare i. e yucky . And is it also a fair call to say a lot of Auckland cafes have upped their game in decent cutlery and crockery? Because this breakfast was served in the nicest bowl and they had good coffee cups. Hopefully the 90’s oversize white plates are gone out with the 90’s. Service was friendly and the café clean. Just think how lucky those b’stards are at Orion health to have such a cracking good café in their building.

Welcome to the start of a new week! What better way to kick it off then a nice warm cuppa brew on this stunning yet crisp Auckland morning. Walking into Welcome Eatery you feel exactly that! The level of customer service is on point here. There motto is Fast. Fresh & Friendly and I think they deliver on all three! They serve Coffee Supreme and I opted for a nice big mug of brewed Nicaragua Monte Cristo. With a flavour of maple, peach and pine it was perfect for breakfast. Although slightly disappointed they had run out of almond milk the coffee was still fantastic. This is a great café that serves simple wholesome food that looks soul warming and delicious. With plenty of tables and such a large space would be perfect for your business meetings or somewhere to come get some work done out of the office. A great coffee and café to start the week

Since working in new market, I’ve been running out of ideas to eat for lunch. Having checked out their Instagram the night before and saw photos of these amazing cakes I thought I must try. The place was super busy when we arrived. I got the mushroom on toast — was a bit weird tbh, the mash was cold and didn’t have much flavour. Maybe because I’m customize to the nice creamy mushroom on toast, this dish didn’t appeal much to me. The lamb meatball pasta on the other hand was delicious! The pasta was cooked perfect, juicy lamb meatballs and lots of peas. I would def come back for the soup or cakes(if they have any left) soon!

Until yesterday, Grafton wasn’t really on my radar. It was that awkward place you drove through to get on the motorway or go to Newmarket. I think that’s why it took me so long to go to Welcome Eatery. I remember seeing an event Gather & Hunt did there but then sort of forgot about it. It wasn’t until I was searching for a place to co-work after a meeting that it popped up. Anyway, as it turns out, I’m an idiot because Welcome Eatery is A W E S O M E, and the perfect spot to co-work, I might add(just don’t go hogging a table all day drinking one long black, these guys get buuuuusy). Having replaced breakfast with two coffees, I was ravenous when I arrived so quickly ordered their version of a Philly cheese-steak(who knew you could get them in NZ). This was my first time trying the famous East coast dish and to be honest, before now it wasn’t high on my wish list, but it was EPIC. Beautiful buttery bread, tender steak with a generous amount of caramelized onion sauce all topped with melted cheese(provolone & cheddar, i’m told). Heaven! I’d happily drive across the bridge to do it all over again. Somehow, I get the feeling I’m going to be hanging out in Grafton a little more often!

Finally got a chance to visit Welcome Eatery a few days ago(I have been meaning to visit since it opened!). I really liked the overall aesthetic and layout as soon as I walked in. It was a big space with tables spread out and not so clustered together(which you find in a lot of similar establishments these days). My partner and I tried their light fry-up and superbowl — I highly recommend both. We couldn’t help ourselves and also grabbed a tuna roll for lunch later– great value and flavours! They also make a great mocha(we have one at just about every restaurant we visit, so we’ve had our fair share). We found the service nothing short of attentive and friendly, and would not hesitate to come here again. Hoping they will be open over the weekend soon, if only for the fact that even more people will have the chance to discover it!

I recently visited Welcome Eatery after a friends suggestion. Newly opened 2months ago. From the outside, you would think its more of a corporate café, however the inside is modern and airy. The décor showcases polished concrete floors, with wooden tables. Seats are comfortable, with either individual tables, couch seats and bar seats. The team are friendly and you are welcomed as you enter the door. There is table service(which i really like), if its a café where there are servers then you shouldn’t have to order at a counter unless your doing takeaway. We ordered the Smashed Avocado, Lamb Salad and Cocoa Smoothies. The food was really tasty and efficient considering thats newly opened. I recommend the Avocado stack for someone who isn’t overly hungry, as the portion size isn’t large, however the bread was def very tasty. Other deli items are on offer to takeaway, all of which were quite appetising. The only issue I have is the price for smoothies in Auckland. $ 8 for a smoothie. Do we think this stacks up to value for what you get? Is this because everyone is following this new trend? Although the Avocado stack was healthy and tasty, i think it was a tad overpriced for its true value. It could be improved through maybe another slice of bread. This café gets the tick for service and food. I really like how healthy free range and organic food is becoming more influenced in Auckland. I came to Welcome Eatery to see what all the fuss was about… and i absolutely agree that its great! Arrived quite early in the morning with computer in hand to get a bit of work done. Excellent(Supreme) coffee is one thing that will definitely get me coming back. The menu wasn’t huge but extensive enough and if that doesn’t satisfy your taste buds there is a cabinet full of focaccia sandwiches, muffins, scones, pasta and more. The fresh juices looked pretty good too — ill have to try one next time! It is spacious and bright and a great social café to come for a catch up with friends, to grab healthy take away lunches, get some work done on the free wifi and it would also be a great casual meeting spot. The service was excellent — very attentive and friendly. Highly recommend this place! Oh and i have to mention the play list… epic!

This place reminds me of a line from Freddy Got Fingered… ‘Daddy I found the hidden treasure’. It really is a hidden treasure in a land of office buildings. Simple yet delicious menu, simple yet beautiful and calm design, delicious coffee… what more could you ask for. I had enormous order envy when my lovely scrambled eggs on five grain came out(which was lovely not trying to underrate it) then Sophs avocado smash with goats curd and edamame come out… looked divine! I hear their menu rotates which is great for variety so get in quick so you don’t miss this gem!
