Goodness gracious I never thought I could love a bagel so much. Love walking past in the morning and grabbing a bagel and coffee for breakfast. Can’t wait to have Dan back and the Parnell store open.

Legitimately my favourite place to go with friends. It’s one of the few places I would refer to as a ‘usual’. The food is simple yet delicious, the staff are upbeat, fun and passionate, and the coffee is on point. My only concern is the size– it’s tiny! And extremely popular! So get there before a rush time or go on a weekday to secure a spot for dine in– or better yet– take away!

Bagels with coffee or juicey thing. They do it well. Cosy shop with limited seating, but easy enough to grab and run. One of the better bagel places imo.

Mmm the vege bagel with haloumi is a great way to start the day! This is a cosy place with a few seats outside(can be noisy by the road) and a few more inside. Come here for your bagel fix with plenty of selections. I have it on good authority there coffee is the ticket too! Have a juice and smoothie menu too but didn’t get to try that. Lunch bagels looked amazing. .will be back to try the pulled pork option soon!

Bagels & coffee are, like, all the rage at the moment. Instead of Best Ugly’s Montréal style, however, Goodness Gracious serves up New York style — which are less sweet & doughier than their Canadian counterparts. Having enjoyed authentic NYC bagels first-hand, I can’t say GG’s version truly competes butttt for NZ, it’s not too shabby. They don’t have a ton of vegetarian options but the ones they do, are solid choices. I went for the Vege bagel and my only complaint is that they were a bit stingy on the halloumi(…it may have been gone in 1.5 bites). I would also not recommended eating this one«on the go» as the sauces and fillings were dispersing every which way). Although the main event is bagels, they have a few other options for the non –bagel lovers among us, including, museli, fruit salad, omelette and breakfast salad(hint: salad with bacon & egg). The fresh smoothies and juices on the board sound incredible too, so will need to try one of those next time. The indoor seating area’s pretty tiny, so if it’s a rainy day it can get rather cramped but the outdoor seating opens things up on a sunny day. It seems a bit random they serve wine and beer, but I’m not complaining. They also have Bloody Mary’s which makes me think a weekend brunch here is most definitely in order. PS — gluten free bagels available, which is pretty rad.

What can I say Bagels & Coffee I go here all the time as it is tucked away in a little corner up the road from my house. The guy who runs it seriously reaks of passion. You can tell he puts everything into this being the best it can be and it truly shows as he is always there working hard I almost always get the ‘Breakie Bagel’ as it hits all the hangover style notes for me Heaps of egg, heaps of tomato relish, heaps of rocket, heaps of mayo all smushed up between crispy god donuts. I also really rate the chilli con carne one — it is packed with flavour. Once I went for the porridge and even that didn’t disappoint! On a side note —(I’m so awkward) but the bathroom is really nice. I even mentioned it to the guy and he was chuffed, saying that he put heaps of effort into it! haha Anyway if the bathroom even has his full attention, clearly the food sings songs. My only suggestion would be some kind of closed area for outside as the wind picks up and it can be pretty cold sometimes. But once you have these bagels and coffee not much else matters to be honest

Goodness Gracious is a tucked away store/café in Eden Terrace. Unless you work around there or someone told you about it, you would hardly notice it. Goodness Gracious offers a menu of NY Bagels, which the store follows a similar concept at Best Ugly Bagels. To be honest, I was initially hesitant to try Goodness Gracious. I have had Ugly Bagels a couple of times and there was a lot to live up to. Their menu was quite standard with your classic sandwich fillings in a bagel but executed well. I do like the option to choose the type of bagel you want. I’m a sucker for salmon, so I chose the Classic bagel. It was a nice change since the salmon was cooked rather than raw. My dining partner chose the Wilbur bagel which was an unusual bagel filling with a spiced pulled pork. Again like Burger Burger, this was a very messy bagel to eat although tasty. We also had to try the Peanut butter and salted caramel smoothie. For $ 7 this was quite reasonable with the unique flavours and great flavour. Seating was very limited so we had to takeaway. This is where we realised some of the bagels you may need a fork and knife to eat it. Good place to try. Everything was tasty and quick, just not quite as good as Best Ugly Bagels. Never knew this place existed because is tightly tucked behind some shops off the road. There are not much to look at, small little boutique Bagel place with like half a dozen seating inside and outside. The staff are friendly and the coffee are great. The bagels are however exceptional. I would say is better than the range at ugly Bagel. I tried half a dozen different bagels on the menu, and I have yet to have something I don’t like. Even better I kind of love every single thing I ordered so far. My favourite is the Bagel burger and the cab.

I have just started working around the corner from this café and the food /coffee is perfect! I get The Cab bagel and it is one of the best things I have eaten since moving to New Zealand! Highly recommended!!!

Awesome bagels! Good selection, generous size, and reasonable price. Nice strong coffee too, with cute teaspoons :) Gets pretty busy though with limited seats.

Yum yum yum! Even though this place is relatively new it is certainly popular, only a small amount of seating inside and some bench tables outside well worth the wait though! Just really good kiwi style bagels, all the fillings sound delish, we ordered the BLAT, Salmon, Veg and an eggs ben and all were scrummy! The salmon was my fav and the veg(anything with halomui in I love though) Great coffee and friendly staff, perfect place if you want a light breakfast!

It seems Auckland’s got a thing for bagels at the moment and Goodness Gracious is the latest addition. Yes, they serve other things — a couple of salads and other bit and pieces — but bagels are the focus and they do them bloody well. Their ‘Vege Bagel’ with avo, haloumi, red pepper pesto, rocket, tomato, Tabasco and aioli, was a glorious combination of fillings and the sauce to filling ratio was spot on. I loved the addition of the Tabasco for a bit of heat. I could of done with one more slice of halloumi and I have to admit, I prefer the Best Ugly Bagels over the New York Bagels but still, all in all a legit lunch option. It also must be mentioned that this place has a really cool vibe from the laid-back hip hop beats to the concrete floors, white tiles and easy going staff. Oh and don’t forget to check out their juices and smoothies.

This place is amazing! Really cool fitout of a tiny space but they’ve really made the most of it, and if you cant nab a table get takeaway as these bagels are delicious! Great menu, I don’t think you could order badly, and if your stumped go for the sampler — 3 little bagels, and you can choose which ones. Good coffee and delicious smoothies, you have to try this place!
