Having been to Wine Chambers for drinks, tonight, on recommendation, I dined with two friends. We were Kate, didn’t have a reservation and they couldn’t have been more accommodating. We each wanted something different when it came to wine, and there are loads of fabulous options by the glass. I ordered a fillet steak which was cooked to medium-rare perfection. Outstanding! No dessert or coffee as it was mid-week and we didn’t want anything to interrupt a good night’s sleep. A girl must be fresh and alert! This place is the bomb! Loved it!!!

I went to Wine Chambers a few times, mainly with work, as it is a great place to take clients. It is also a lovely place for a special date. It is one of those«blink and you’ll miss it» places, it is tucked away on the ground floor of a beautiful historical building that also houses offices, judging by the men in suits coming down the stairs in the hallway. As one would expect from a place called Wine Chamber, the wine menu holds an excellent range of wines from all over the world. The waiting staff is well informed and attentive and will pleasantly advise you should you want to pair your wine with your food. The menu is quite European and not very extensive: a vegetarian dish, 2 or 3 meat dishes and a fish of the day dish but to me that is a good sign usually. The dishes are a bit light quantity wise so hungry eaters might want to go for three courses. I tried their liquorice smoked salmon and it was both unusual and comforting, and totally delicious. On another occasion I ordered the steak and it was cooked to perfection… Not a big fan of the radicchio they put as an accompaniment to it though, a bit on the crunchy side. Presentation is simple but sophisticated, just like this place is. The desserts are really good but none has really blown my mind or my taste buds(so far). I will keep trying. I am happy to recommend Wine Chambers, this place does deserve more Unilocal reviews!
