Saturday night we were at a loose end and our daughter suggested burger Queen just up the road, Why not ordered ahead to save time 25 mins. To be fair it was the night of the warriors and the all blacks but still waited another 30 minutes. And there were some very irate customers giving the owners grief. we ordered a beef avo and bacon gourmet burger, very average, bun was not toasted and still soft, the beef pattie was about 5 mm thick(flattened out to cook quicker) A vegetarian burger with pineapple and egg this was a really nice burger. And a beef and cheese regular burger again the bun was soft but the pattie on this burger was thick and very tasty, If there are more than 1 person order more fries very small portions. overall we were very disappointed as everyone says it is good. Sorry I could not be more positive

It ain’t flash but it’s cheap as chips and tasty too. Burger Queen reminds me of an old school fish and chip shop. The kind that does burgers and hot dogs too. The interior(and exterior for that matter) is pretty shabby, it stinks of deep fryers and the ingredients… well, let’s just say theyre not free-range, organic. Buuuuut if you can get past all of that, Burger Queen makes a mean burger. I tried their beef & cheese — thick, juicy pattie, melted cheese, salad, soft bread roll all for $ 6!!! Such a steal! Their menu is extensive but I get the feeling that sticking to the basics is best. Other than a counter, there is no seating inside — definitely a straight-up takeaway joint,

The best cheap burgers in town, just down the road makes them the best. Looks are deceiving here, get anything, it’s good

When i want to treat myself for lunch, I hop along to Burger Queen. The husband and wife duo are real champions of this burger bar. My favourite is the Beef & Cheese burger and the chips are always so crispy and delicious. i also love that they sell little pottles of aioli to dip my chips! When I’m feeling indulgent I get the carmel thickshake with no regrets! One of my keen friends challenged The Beast burger(burger pattie, steak, bacon, egg, chicken, and pineapple), and The Beast nearly won!

This is our regular dinner joint if there’s nothing in the fridge. The food tastes great, and there’s an unreal selection of burgers. Lovely staff!

One of the most legit places to get a burger in Auckland. Honest and delicious. You won’t get a $ 6 cheeseburger better than that. FACT.

I’d driven past this place so many times and was sort of hoping it might one of those run down places with amazing food(a hidden gem that I could then share with the world) but turns out it’s pretty average. Their menu is quite extensive but none of the burgers are very good, their bread is too soft, and there is too much for the actual filling. Their ingredients aren’t the best and when I looked at my beef patty it had disintegrated into mince :| They make milkshakes too, but it looked like they just left the milk out which is a bit gross. Prices are cheap though so I guess I didn’t feel as bad about trying it out, but wouldn’t bother going back.

Yuuuuuum yum yum! The best burgers in Auckland! And so cheap! Open seven days from 11:30 — 9:30pm, Burger Queen is located on Mt Albert Road and offers the biggest, best quality burgers, toasted sandwiches and spring rolls around. The selection is also incredible; where else can you find Mexican, chicken satay, chicken camembert and cranberry or vege pattie and avocado burgers to name a few? My favourite burger is the Hawaiian — for only $ 5.50 you can get a delicious homemade style beef and onion pattie, pineapple, beetroot and salad on a gourmet sesame seed bun. And the burger is so big you can barely finish it — what more can you ask for? Chips? Don’t even worry about it, because they are equally as delicious. Nice and chunky, crisp and salty, Burger Queen’s chips are to die for. Kumara fries, donuts, banana fritters, oysters, scallops — the options don’t end at burgers and chips. Drinks are also available; sodas, milkshakes and thickshakes with a variety of flavours there to satisfy your cravings — you can’t go wrong with Burger Queen!

What’s not to love about a place that lets you draw little messages on a piece of paper and stick it to the wall, while at the same time offering the best burger experience this side of ten dollars in Auckland? In fact, I’d go as far as saying these are probably the best burgers in our fair city. Far better then the dross served up at burger wisconsin at 15 dollars a pop. My favorite is the whale burger — a hearty sized piece of fish with a great salad. I usually get them to chuck some hot sauce on as well, and whatever sauce it is they use, its a good one. The wait for burgers is just right — not too short that you wonder if they premade the whole thing, not too long that the hunger goes away due to drinking a few too many beers from the shop next door. Just the right amount of time that the smell from the grill behind the counter has permeated every pore of your body, building up a sense of anticipation which the feed never fails to fulfill.

This is probably my one regret about moving away from Mt. Albert Road. I love Burger Queen. It kind sits in a comfortable space between your local greasy fish & chip shop and more ‘upmarket’ burger places like Burgerfuel or Burger Wisconsin, taking the best aspects of both. The food is pretty much as good as the flash places, but instead of costing $ 15 a burger or whatever Burgerfuel charges these days, the burgers are usually closer to the $ 7 – 8 mark, and things like chips or spring rolls are cheap, like down-the-road cheap. Their menu is all beautifully handwritten, adding a touch of class and character. Also, just to make you love the place even more, they have a burger called the Queen Pounder — which a) is a hilarious name for a burger, and b) has both chicken AND beef in it! Awesome.

Burger Queen is our flat’s pre-party alcohol-absorbing dinner of choice. If there’s a party at our flat you can be sure to find us beforehand chowing down on burgers and fries while watching Arrested Development. I should be a lot fatter from all the hot chips I consume in general, so it’s fair to point out that I come from a lot of greasy potato experience when I say these chips are good. The burgers are huge and, if you’re really clever, instead of gorging yourself on the whole thing before the party you save some for later in the night when a cold half-eaten burger is somehow the exact thing you need. There’s plenty on the menu to choose from, including vegetarian burgers, with heaps of tasty fillings that the massive buns are able to prevent from spilling out on your first bite. We always call ahead and order and then pick up but that does rely on knowing what’s on the menu already.

Burger Queen is a great suburban burger bar, located in Mt Albert. They do generous sized, tasty burgers with a lot of flavours to choose from. So far I have only tried a cheese burger and have not yet strayed from this option. Full traditional fish and chip options also available, as well meal combo options for the family. There is not a table to dine in but there is some parks nearby if you care to dine al fresco. The friendly staff wrap your burger up in tin foil so it holds the heat. Legends. Burger Queen — old fashioned, reasonably priced burgers. Oh yeah!
