I would normally think an optometrist/eyewear store wouldn’t be worth a review. It just seems like one of those places that does it’s job and that’s it. But I felt the need to write this one. Mum was recently told she needed glasses and after having all the tests, asked me to come with her to Specsavers to help with the decision of which one to get. I knew mum was a bit upset about the whole thing, it made her feel older etc. And the thing I loved was that the staff at OPSM seemed to know this without us even having to say anything. The girl that helped us was lovely, and patient and helpful. We ended up being in there for about 3 hours(mum bought me lunch after as a thank you treat), and the girl never made us feel like we should hurry up. The selection in their is fantastic, and caters to a huge range of tastes. They also let you swap out the arms of some pairs for others. Mum ended up getting prescription glasses and sunglasses, both of which she loves. For a potentially crappy shopping experience, it was surprisingly pleasant, and mum was happy which is all that matters.
