So things have changed at Honey, new décor, new staff, but same good menu and yummy iced mocha. Good news is they now have wifi! Downside is I’m not sure what’s going on with the music…

Honey has a great menu with a selection that is bound to please someone. My favourite is the scrambled eggs with lightly spiced chorizo baby gourmet potatoes served with a light salad Harissa source. You can have it with salmon also. A great way to start the day.

I love honey café. The staff are so friendly. the food is amazingggg. the interior is warm/homey and comfortable. but a majority of the times i go(which can only be Saturdays…) they close early, kitchen closes, or its public holiday… and it break my heart everytime… I LOVE their chicken salad… the fresh citrus fruit, the crispy kumara chips, the perfect dressing, tender flavourful chicken and the good portion… so heavenly. also their smoothies are killer. Recently tried their mango smoothie and gosh that was refreshing, not too sweet and could finish in one go. the chocolate peanut butter smoothie is always a popular mouth watering choice too. Please open both weekends so i can come more often!!!

This is one of my top three places to have breakfast in Auckland. Interesting menu, very well executed, bright fun décor and amazing service. I am a very picky fan of mushrooms on toast and this café delivers.

I attended a baby shower here at brunch time on a Saturday, and we got the large table situated in the far right corner next to the counter. Its a very popular spot especially on the weekends, and we had top service from the word go. The main waiter a really tall man, had us watered, and drinks ordered within seconds of being seated, and the menu presented was a delicious mix of classic and modern brunch items. I decided on one of my all time favourites the salmon and cream cheese bagel, which was divine. The coffee, was near perfect. I love the décor in the café, funky paintings and light fittings. Other ladies ordered some smoothies which were served in jars with handles and they raved about the flavour. The café size is quite big, but on a busy weekend can fill up fast. A new fave spot for weekend meals now.

Came here for breakfast and chose the winning Honey brunch! Was quite surprised by how generous the portions were– definitely come hungry! There was a really great spinach, mung bean, quinoa salmon salad with a piece of specialty hard crusted bread with a huge scrambled(requested– poached or fried as well) egg. In addition, to this — also a small cup of their home made museli with compote and yogurt! The salad was very unique and super fresh. The egg was well cooked– golden and spread beautifully over the small slice of bread. Their muesli was divine– the mix of all the nuts and seeds with the fruit and yogurt! Overall, such a winning sampler of their breakfast/brunch foods. Easy to find along Huron Street with lovely simple décor and nice option of indoor or outdoor seating. A big fan of their ceiling lights and their fridge stocked with Harney & Son’s iced tea. A nice range of breakfast/brunch foods that were intriguing that I must come back to try!

A great café where the service is as great as the food. The risotto of the day was delicious and full of flavour. The hot chocolate was especially divine, the foam tasted like chocolate mousse! Definitely one of the best I have had in Auckland. Honey is reason enough to make a trip over to The Shore.

Yet another reason for City Dwellers to venture to over to The Shore. Seriously, one visit down, already a fan. Honey is located on relatively, quiet Huron St(in between The Department Store and Shore City) but this popular new café is anything but. I went for breakfast at 11am on a Tuesday and it was absolutely humming. Their menu is extensive and they have a couple interesting alternatives to the usual breakfast fare such as mushrooms with savoury churros(which, I am told are delicious btw). I played it safe and opted for a comforting bowl of porridge with banana and coconut w milk and brown sugar on the side. It really hit the spot, the oats were creamy and perfectly cooked and the coconut was a delicious addition. I can’t wait to come back and try there salads or one of their devine looking sweet treats in the cabinet!
