Great eggs Benedict and not bad coffee. Being next to the train station can be a bit noisy but not a bad place for breakfast or lunch.

I have travelled past this place numerous times and never, ever seen anyone out the front in the alfresco section — so I have always wondered what is going on in the not so pumping Pumped Café. So I went in recently, a bit nervous that I was going to waste my money for a review, but it wasn’t too bad. The coffee has won some awards, I thought it was pretty ok, but not award-winningly-good. The girl serving me was friendly and polite, service with a smile. The venue really has a great position it could cash in. It is a lot smaller inside than I it looks from the street(although this was a winner for me, it was really snug and inviting, and well presented). I didn’t try anything to eat this time but their were a couple of diners and the lunch menu looked appealing. They also do catering if anyone is interested.

Forget about the Whistle Stop Café in Fried Green Tomatoes, one of my favourite movies; Glen Eden has its own version, the Pumped Café at Platform 7. This café is definitely an aweseome little treasure in Glen Eden township. It’s located in the historic train station building and really is a hive of activity with business booming for breakfast, brunch and lunch. I’ve met friends here for lunch and for coffee/cake a few times and can report that the meals are really delicious. The counter food is good as well and the coffee is great. They used to sell train tickets from here but now that HOP cards have come into effect I can’t say one way or another if you can still get your train tickets here.
