Felix Café is very firmly A-OK,. It’s open relatively late for a Wellington café, closing at(gasp!) 6pm. The staff are friendly. There’s loads of space to sit. The coffee is however that too though — OK, just. I asked for an extra shot which didn’t work so well. My slice of chocolate cake on the other hand was clearly home made, with icing spread in an endearingly haphazard way. Not somewhere I’d come as my first choice for caffeine, but a useful backup.

I had a delicious chai latte with almond milk here. I love the relaxed atmosphere and a magazine rack with quite an assortment for you to look at while you’re there. Staff is friendly and service is good.

I’m rather picky when it comes to the first meal of the day. I have to have a taste or craving for something and then I’m all over it! Well we walked from our hostel and saw this corner restaurant with a huge window as a wall and it looked inviting! Next we saw the name of the restaurant was«Felix». Well we are travelers and far away from home where our kitten was named Felix so we decided this would be the place to grave a bite! Very delicious! I had the poached eggs with lox! Lots of light and a fresh atmosphere. Highly recommend.
