Two Souls Bistro

We ate here for Christmas Eve dinner. I had the lamb it was great, cooked perfect and a good portion. The staff was very nice and attentive. Overall a nice meal. The only ding was the portion of the appetizer of calamari was a joke, I would not order this.

Excellent meal and friendly service. We enjoyed dinner here tonight, right down the road from our hotel and all the great reviews made it seem like a good choice.
My family both enjoyed the Lamb shanks which were lovely and delicious. The meat fell off the bone and the sauce was full of roasted lamb flavour. They both enjoyed it very much. I had the cannelloni which was vegetarian, full of porcine mushrooms and pumpkin. Yummy. We enjoyed a bottle of Whitehaven Pinot Noir at a reasonable price.
All the deserts were lovely, two chocolate goodies and a lemon tart. The servers were very good, friendly and helpful. All in all a great evening.

I really like this place. I had the best lamb of my life here tonight! It was a special– basically, a partial rack of lamb, roasted lamb kidneys (surprisingly good!), a potato and parsnip (I think) gratin of sorts, and a beet salad. Just amazing. The lamb was perfectly done and the reduction sauce that accompanied it was so good that I was really fighting back the urge to lick the plate. (I don’t usually write things like that on Unilocal– the sauce was just that good!)
On top of that, the service was so warm and welcoming. I was dining solo and they made me feel so comfortable and taken care of. They really created a wonderful atmosphere and experience.

Two Souls looks like your average small bar, but the food is top-​notch. Just as well I booked, because it filled up while we were there and they had to turn customers away. In Welly, with its plethora of restaurants, that’s something. Staff were very attentive, helpful and friendly. I ordered the Cajun blackened fish; wife had the beef tornado steak. Both were superb and we vowed to come back again before we leave Wellington in a week’s time.

The perfect place to enjoy a happy intimate evening in the city.
