Service was perfect. Lovely girl chatted with us and gave us many tips for how to spend our day. We tried the pea soup and it was delicious with chunks of sausage and bacon in it. The breads were fresh and flavorful and came with 3 different spreads. All were delicious. We also shared a pancake. yummy. The atmosphere was cozy and we stayed quite a while to rest up and look at some maps. Would definitely recommend.

Was very disappointed with this place passed it so many times and thought it would be good we ordered Escargot and wow they were delicious with the garlic. Then we ordered two so called Dutch Steaks one medium was done with fillet steak and was rare the other was sirloin steak and well done which came well done so really does depending on what rarety your variety depend on the cut of steak you get or should a Dutch steak well done or medium be the same cut of meat for the price don’t get it. Then I was sick by the canal on way back to hotel as I felt terrible maybe this wasn’t the foods fault but a Dutch steak times two should be the same well done or medium eh for sure tastey snails but steak was terrible

Voltaria!!!

So someone told me that there’s no authentic Dutch cuisine. Let’s see if I can prove her wrong! After wandering around Amsterdam for a long time, I found this restaurant, advertising authentic Dutch cuisine. The menu was a bit bland, and there wasn’t much for lunch special, so I got tried: — Erwtensoep(or snert) — Pea soup, with bacon and bread.(Traditional Dutch!) It tasted alright, but I not a fan of peas. The bacon was more smoked than cooked. So, authentic Dutch cuisine exists! The taste and choices are another matter.
