Markt-Cafe Konditerei

Enjoyed a great breakfast here! I usually have a nose for good Konditerei and we were not disappointed.
Me, my daughter and 4 of her friends (all of them spending a year studying in Europe) were on our way from Traunkirchen to Dachstein to do some hiking and visit the ice caves. As usual, we caught some stares from the locals as we entered but everybody turned out to be quite harmless. The six of us piled in the large table in the back right corner and were all amazed at the quantity and quality of the food.
First, they brought 2 slabs of butter and 2 large bowls of wonderful apricot jam to slather on our fresh brotchen. Ohhh, was it ever good! While the other 5 all ordered the basic fruhstuck, I went big and enjoyed a gekochtes ei as well. The coffee, tea and hot chocolate were all super. We left feeling so full and well taken care of.
