Airport dining is normally through necessity rather than for the experience, but I found this place to be a refreshing change. The setting is pleasant and they have a separate smoking area if you smoke but don’t fancy the utilitarian smoking cubicles dotted between the gates. The service was quick, although the airport was quiet when we passed through so this may not always be the case. The food varied in value, the pasta was cheap, the Wiener schnitzel probably a little expensive but the quality was good and the take home point from this restaurant was that looking at the pictures of the food which were displayed around the place we realised that they portrayed a true representation of what you were actually going to get. My meal looked exactly like the photo of it on the wall, it was the total opposite of the experience you get if you look at the picture of a huge juicy Big Mac and then open the box to see a sorry looking thrown together burger which could have been sat on before being handed to you. It was as though they had photographed my food, stuck the photo on the wall and then brought it over. So anyway, while it is still only an airport restaurant it’s probably one of the best airport restaurants I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to a lot.
