We’re staying at the hotel so decided to eat at the Arsenal tonight. Nobody was in the dining room at 7.30 pm on a Sunday evening but two tables were occupied on the patio. Our orders were taken and drinks were served promptly. After that things went downhill. Had to wait 10 minutes for soup that was on the special menu for the evening – the soup was good. Then had to wait another 15 minutes for our main course – we both had the schnitzel. There were two large pieces of schnitzel on each plate together with potatoes and a small salad. Everything was just«average». With one glass of wine and a beer the bill came to 80 euros. There is nothing that would make me want to eat here again.

This is the restaurant at our hotel in Vienna, The Imperial Riding School Renaissance Hotel. We don’t usually eat at hotel restaurants but we are leaving tomorrow and just wanted something quick and close. What a great surprise! The food was awesome! We had the pork loin with asparagus. Blood sausage for starters was excellent. Presentation was beautiful and the waitstaff attentive and very welcoming. Highly recommend The Arsenal!

Located in The Imperial Riding School Renaissance, Arsenal is worth a visit. The food here is fantastic and the staff go well out of their way to please. Niki enioyed the rabbit while I endulged in the Char which is kept live in a large fresh water tank. The Char was delicious and thanks to Arsenal its my new favorite. The wine selection here is also superb and boasts some truly impressive local varieties. Desserts here are also very nice and creatively inspired. Save some room it is devine.
