Pizza Angolo No. 22

Very good pizza! They’ve got the usual array of margherita, diavolo, etc. and the pizzas are HUGE so two people can easily split one pizza. If you eat in, they provide chili oil… which is epic.
Plus, the staff are really friendly. There’s a great Italian waiter who’s fun to chat with.

I wanted to try this place since it opened, but somehow I just kept going everywhere else but here. Finally, after failing to get a table at Pizza Riva (which luckily turned out to be a good thing), as I started to drive home, I decided to drop by and try Pizza Angolo No. 22. And liked it a lot! The rating as always is based on taste of the food, but it is worth mentioning that the service was good as well.
Since we only had pizzas — four different kinds — it’s what I’ll rate. Overall, a good pizza and a welcome addition to the neapolitan pizza restaurants in this town! The dough was nice and chewy and other ingredients tasted fresh. The best part is the price — 4 pizzas and drinks (including beer) were EUR 38! Now that is a deal that you won’t get in any other pizza joint in this town.

Die Pizza Angolo hat eine Top Lage, speziell für die Medizinstudenten gegenüber. Das Lokal selbst ist eher unspektakulär, weder traditionelle italienisch noch trendy. Fast schon etwas lieblos. Was das Pizzaangebot angeht, gibt es hier auch eine auswahl an Weißen Pizzas (Bianco, ohne Tomatensauce), was doch noch nicht jede Pizzeria hat.
Die Pizzas selbst sind nicht schlecht. Nicht zu knusprig und saftig.
Pluspunkt. Das Passwort fürs hauseigene Wlan ist gleich an einer Tafel angeschrieben, damit spart man sich das Fragen und kommt nicht wie ein hoffnungsloser Internet-​Suchti rüber. ;)

Personal: sehr freundlich
Essen: die Pizza Bufala, war gut, jedoch hatte ich in Wien schon bessere. Ich würde sagen diese war unter den Top 10 Wiens.
Lokal: angenehmes Lokal, leider war die Klimaanlage ausgefallen aber es wurde ein Ventilator zur Verfügung gestellt.
Preis/​Leistungsverhältnis: Gut!

Zuerst muss ich an das unglaublich freundliche Personal ein riesengroßes Lob aussprechen. Die Reservierung hat gut geklappt, nur haben Sie uns in einen Raum gesetzt, der insgesamt 5 Treppen dazwischen hatte. Hatte leider vergessen dazu zu sagen, dass 2 Rollstuhlfahrer dabei sind, aber sie haben ohne die Wimpern zu zucken gleich geholfen! Zur Pizza muss ich sagen, ist leider nicht mein Favorit. Sie war zwar gut, aber auch nicht besser als die anderen Italiener die bis jetzt getestet wurden. Vielleicht ein bisschen besser als der Durchschnitt, aber wie gesagt nicht ganz mein Fall. Würde, aber wieder kommen und mal was anderes probieren.

Als ich ankam und noch den Raum für mich alleine hatte wurde ich gleich gefragt ob die Musik zu laut eingestellt sei. Wurde dann auch sogar gleich leiser gedreht.
Gratis WLAN wurde auch zur Verfügung gestellt :)
Aber nun zum wichtigsten; Das Essen.
Ich würde ihm eine 2 geben. Es hat gut gemundet aber für mich persönlich war der Pizzaboden etwas zu weich. (habs gern knusprig xD)
Bezüglich Pizza Größe war es für mich perfekt.
Und Preis-​Leistungsverhältnis ist auch sehr gut.
Ich kann das Lokal also nur empfehlen. :D

This is a new addition to the Naples-​style pizza family here in Vienna and it has succeeded in becoming one of the very best of the brood.
I spoke with one of the owners (who also runs a cool outdoor furniture store next door) and he confirmed that every person involved with the place is from Naples. This showed in the care and quality of the pizza, but I wouldn’t necessarily say that being from Naples had anything to do with the slightly confused service staff. To be fair, it was the first week they were open and the people involved barely spoke German or English — which made me totally happy.
The beverage assortment was adequate and reasonably priced. The pizzas were of that unique Naples quality with a fine, flavorful and chewy crust that had just enough crispness on the edges and spring in the bite. The tomatoes were definitely flavorful and perfectly proportioned. The toppings were all of high quality except for I have to demote slightly for the cow milk mozzarella they used on the basic pizzas. I know it can’t always be the bangin’ buffalo milk mozzarella, but this particular cheese they used had a distinctly flavorless character. I hope they’ll change it.
I would say that this place has slotted into #2 for pizza in Vienna as of summer 2015. They are ahead by a margin of the «Mari/​Volante» empire, and slightly behind Riva. Definitely worth a visit, although you should probably book because the restaurant is small and, I hope, will be extremely popular.

Noch sehr neu am Standort (Café. 2 Monate) hat sich dieses Lokal wohl schon zum Geheimtipp gemausert. Bin durch einen Tipp von Verwandten dort gewesen, und ich muss sagen — es hat sich gelohnt. Sie bieten sehr schmackhafte Pizzen an, die nicht sehr fettig sind, aber trotzdem sättigen.
Ich komme bestimmt wieder!
