Schlumberger Wein-u Sektkellerei

Es gibt einen Shop wo man Schlumberger Sekt in allen möglichen Kombinationen und Größen auch sehr viele Geschenke und verschiedene Sekt mit verschiedenen Geschmäcker findet man dort. Man kann auch denn Sekt verkosten.
Sehr interessant sind die vielen Kilometer Kelleranlagen die von Carl Ritter von Ghega erbaut würden, er hat auch die Semmering Bahn gebaut.
Schlumberger war der erste der Sekt außerhalb von Frankreich erzeugt hat. Es dauert ca 1,5 Jahre bis ein fertiger Sekt entsteht und hier muss er mehr mal gerüttelt und gedreht werden.
Mit der Nö Card ist der Eintritt gratis.

What an amazing discovery so close to the city! I had know idea the Schlumberger cellars were in Wien and that they were so big! I visited last night on a private group tour with Girl Gone International. The tour cost 18 euros and we received a welcome glass of sparkling wine before the very informative tour began. Our tour was in English, but I think you can request other laguages as well. Most certainly it is in German. After the tour we began the tasting. We were able to taste at least 5 different sparkling wines and you had the option of a full glass or just a taste. I highly recommend a visit!

Hey, for my 100^th Unilocal review in the year 2013 and just in time for the always cool St. Nicholas Day of December 6^th, I’m gonna celebrate and break out the champagne … or since I’m in Austria — uncork the «Sekt.» And what better place to do that than at Schlumberger’s in Vienna!
Schlumberger is one of the «Big Five» Austrian Sekt producers and I believe it is the oldest having been established in Vienna in 1842. It’s still here! In the old days it provided Sekt to the Habsburg Emperor and his family and friends; now us commoners get to fully enjoy it as well.
A visit to Schlumberger’s Döbling headquarters makes for a thirst-​quenching and an interesting excursion — especially as they have the largest system of underground wine kellers and tunnels in Vienna. While of course it doesn’t compare in size to the famous and immense underground kellers of Chisinau in Moldawien … or even Retz in Niederösterreich, they still appear big and complex enough to elicit a child-​like wish to run through them and have a cool game of hide and seek with your friends.
I highly recommend a guided tour of the underground kellers. You will walk through the tunnels and learn all the details of how Schlumberger’s Austrian Sekt is made using the traditional Méthode Champenoise developed in Reims, France. And best of all there is a tasting keller room at the end! There’s also a champagne bar when you first enter Schlumberger’s so there’s totally no excuse for not having a drink or two … or three!

Nach der Reifung wird gerüttelt, erfahrene Rüttler rütteln ihre Erfahrung unter den Schaumwein. Insgesamt 32x wird jedes Fläschchen um ein Achtel gedreht und eine Nuance steiler gestellt.
Geführte Besichtigungen des mehrere Kilometer langen Kellerlabyrinths sind an bestimmten Tagen und gegen Voranmeldung möglich, die über dreihundert Jahre alten Gewölbe wurden von Carl Ritter von Ghega, dem späteren Erbauer der Semmeringbahn, zum heutigen Umfang ausgebaut.
