Big Mango is a tiny Thai Bistro on Zwierzyniecka street, just a few steps from Filharmonia. If memory serves, the location used to host a kebab shop. The layout remains basically the same: on one side is an open kitchen, on the other are a few stools along the wall. When the chef cooks, the whole place gets filled with the rich aroma of Thai cooking. It whets your appetite. On the other hand, it also leave your clothes smelling like stir-fry afterward. On my visit I ordered the pad thai with shrimp. The noodles had a nice chewy texture and, as one expects of Thai food, were bursting with flavor. Too bad there weren’t a whole lot of them. For a dish that doesn’t quite fill you up, 35zł is rather pricey. I mean, it’s not even a sit-down restaurant. One eats with plastic utensils off a paper plate.
