A nice place to eat sushi. The restaurant is placed in Kazimierz in Kraków which is an interesting district of the city. When I firstly walked in I saw very little of space but then waitress took me to the«basement» which looked more like a wine cellar, first thing that got my attention was the smell, the smell of bricks, it wasn’t so nice but the more time I spent there the less I could smell it so eventually it wasn’t that bad. Although in my opinion interior style didn’t fit well to Korean themes. Anyway, I felt good in there, tables were big which is a plus because me and my friends had enough place for our meals and drinks. A good idea was electronic bell placed on a table which you could use to call the waitress. If it was just a bit more discreet with the sound it would be great. Sushi that we had was«Genji big sushi set». It was served on a wooden boat. The set itself was pretty tasty, but rolls were too big I wasn’t able to eat them on one bite and it was hard for me to dip them in the soy sauce. Speaking more about the taste of rolls, the ones in tempura were yummy af. Even though I’m an experienced chopstick user sometimes sushi was just falling apart. However I have to say, plum teas that we got were delicious.

leave it to two homesick asian girls living in denmark to go hunting for asian food while on holiday in krakow. while researching before our trip, i saw genji on Unilocal.i followed the link to the menu, and… could it be? legit korean dishes listed among the sushi rolls?! sad to see that the ratings are so low(at least at the time of writing this review) but we took a chance and tried it. we were led downstairs into what seemed like a former wine celler. it was nice and quiet, but not in an eerie way. we were instructed to ring the bell at the table when we needed anything. the classic korean service bell! my hopes were already getting high… and the yuzu citron tea was only making my homesickness worse. we felt greedy so we ordered three dishes. the piping hot bowl of seafood ramen arrived first, topped with two huge mussels and littered with shrimp and bits of squid. it went down quickly, to say the least. ramen was quickly followed by yukgaejang, a spicy beef stew which tasted just as good as when i make it, if not better.(; finally the tangsuyuk(korean-chinese dish of fried beef with sweet and sour sauce) was just as delicious as i remembered it from catered family gatherings, even with bits of pineapple. what a wonderful surprise to find nice korean food in poland! i wish i could eat here every week.
