Scandale Royal

My partner and I went to Scandale Royal for a nightcap but we are staying in Kraków, and overall, this bar seem to be trying to be a Western imitation of a cocktail lounge instead of being a local haunt with great drinks.
When you walk in here, the space itself is not very large, but there is a big upstairs and further down into the building there is much more seating. We opted to sit at the bar because that was the most inviting place. The bartender and the other servers there were actually very friendly and talked with us a lot. We enjoy cocktails and other types of spirits, but they explained that the selection here of small batch and foreign liquors is very small (and in Poland generally).
We had read a lot about this place in the ubiquitous food guide to Kraków, but I will say that the cocktail menu here was not innovative and almost everything was loaded with sugar. Sweet drinks just mask the flavor of the spirit, and they’re not very impressive.
I did notice that there are a lot of groups doing the «vodka tasting» but they were really just there to get drunk. Not really criticizing that, but it’s that kind of place.
Overall, if you just want to get drunk and have a good time at lower prices, I would recommend Harris Piano Jazz Bar on the main square, not Scandale Royal.

A cocktail bar that also happens to be a very good restaurant. I’ve eaten here a few times and was disappointed only once – when I ordered a fish dish. Seafood doesn’t seem to be their strongest suit. Otherwise everything is excellent. Prices are high by Kraków standard. It’s worth it though if you’re want to avoid the inconvenience of needing to find a bar after dinner.

Nice place. Service is nice and cocktails are too. Price are decent. We enjoyed our time here and see the cosmopolitans they do … I’ll come back definitely when I have the occasion.

I like there I must say so after having long break from writing because my thoughts stuck in my mind from ”‘could not believe it is true” mode.
So here I am unblocked again… making good choice and kind of compromise — I had very pleasant evening having coffee and cake and amazing drink– LIIT Adiós Motherf…- it was so good with great ingredients mix and spirits and also so beautiful blue like the lagoon.
I was wondering too if they have female equivalent of it like Adiós .bitc… or something like that — it would be nice pair to salute goodbye for disappointed people…

But taking things seriously — it is lovely place with the garden with great staff and very good menu.
Dishes looking really lovely, decorated with great attention to detail.
Also inside décor makes me feel good– kind of small boutique hotel and it definitely would be the place of my attention and stays while in the area, even for coffee or drink.

Really nice restaurant. They have a nice big drinks menu with cocktails and a wine list. I went for a coffee, mohito and Caesar salad. The salad was the best I’ve had in Kraków. I saw a number of deserts as well and they looked amazing. I sat up stairs at the front. You can see out into the square and there’s is a beautiful chandelier hanging down into a hole in the floor. You can look down into the bar which is lit with a blue light. It has a very cool look quite elegant. Will go again.
It is slightly more pricey than square but a higher quality

Really good breakfast and coffee. Just 5 stars! Friendy peoples working in there. Just enjoy!

Very, very good food. I had seafood starter and than mules and white wine. Service nice, we were sitting outside. Prices high, but worth it :)

Late night appetite? Come to Scandale and enjoy some good salads or tapas. And sip a cocktail along with it.
