This is a great wee bar right on the edge of the market. Don’t go looking for food though! All they serve is one cake for accompanying a cup of coffee. We plumped tea and hot chocolate.

Despite only a brief visit Finka certainly made an impression on me. The layout works well, a bar area is in the centre of the room with seating areas dotted around it. Despite only being a smallish space they manage to create clearly defined separate seating areas without dividing the room up at all. The service I got was good, and the selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks on offer was good. You could come here as part of a night out or for coffee with friends and be equally well catered for. The atmosphere was very chilled and I could certainly imagine this would be a great place to while away a few hours, if I had been in town for longer I would certainly have been back.

On a stop through Kaziemierz, the historically Jewish district in Krakow, we scanned the various bars around the center and settled on this one when my girlfriend made the comment that a friend of hers recommended it. This was also after another review led us in with the promise of free Wi-Fi. It is totally chill here. A really relaxed atmosphere regardless of what you want to indulge in — coffee, alcohol or some mix of the two. We came in late in the evening and stayed for a few hours until the last possible tram we could catch. The bar was being run by just one person and it was kinda slow because of that. We were in no rush though and it was no problem. There is a section upstairs but it was dead empty and smelled of smoke that was stagnant there. We found space on the swinging chairs under the stairs and it was positively relaxing. You can also get a nicely spiced warm beer, which I’ve come to understand is sort of a staple of Polish winters. On your way out, stop in across the street for some most delicious, crunchy, warm and melt in your mouth zapiekanka.

Fairtrade coffee with friendly service. Free WiFi with no password. Very clean and well laid out, bar to sit at or tables scattered around the outside, great to rest the legs and listen to some chill out tunes. Also features funky furniture including a chair fashioned out of cassette tapes.

We’ve just returned from a fabulous trip to Krakow and on a trip to the trendy Jewish Quarter /district Kazimierz, we came across this funky café /bar & after a hot and tiring day sightseeing popped in for refreshments! There was only one girl serving, so our two drinks took a long time to make, she was sweet & friendly but her English wasn’t very good but we coped. The drinks were disappointing — mine was a coconut iced coffee with no taste of coconut and my Mum’s piña colada had no taste of alcohol in it. The prices were cheap as is everything in the city! The bar is very cool inside with bright decorating, cool and funky chairs like ones made out of cassette tapes and swing chairs /hammocks. Would recommend and return if I came back to the area especially as there are a multitude of other bars and cafes to try out too.

Charming little place. I came in here to wait for a friend, and it was pretty quiet at 5pm. I had a caffemocha, and it was delish. I’d come back here if I were in the area. There was just one person working as far as I could tell, she spoke English extremely well(thank goodness, damn Yank) They do not take cards though and I tried to pay with a 50 note and change had to be given in coins so… be aware of how you plan to pay, try to have near exact change!

In Krakow’s trendy neighborhood Kazimierz you will find more than a good share of hip bars. Looking for a place to sit down and warm up over a glass of hot wine we ended up in Finka. The white furniture makes it a comfortable place to spend a couple of hours chatting away with the funny waiters and waitresses, who’ll dance away wildly to Spice Girls songs or classics like White Christmas. All in all a good place to start your evening out in Kazimierz.
