While the restaurant was small, it was packed full of flavor. We had several entrees and starters, all nice. I really enjoyed my red cabbage. I had a white russian, but it wasn’t so nice. Otherwise, all parties were satisfied!

This Czech restaurant is right next to one of my favourite haunts(Kładka Café) on Mostowa. The interior is bright and modern, with Czech writings on the walls and lampshades made from upcycled glass bottles. There are doors opening onto the street and this gives the restaurant a light and airy feel. To eat I chose the pork neck which was served with a tasty, thick gravy and dumplings. Yes, proper dumplings… pierogi is often mistranslated as dumplings, but these were the real mccoy. It was served with fried cabbage. Quite a few calories in the whole meal I suspect. The whole thing was very tasty, but a little too salty for my liking, but maybe that is what authentic Czech food is like. They serve a good selection of Czech beers, but I had cider with my meal. Lubelski cider isn’t my favourite brand, but at least it was served very cold. My dinner companion had goulash, served with dumplings. She enjoyed her meal. The service wasn’t great, the waitresses didn’t seem to be particularly attentive or friendly, hence they only score a three out of five.
