This restaurant belongs to a small chain. Zapiecek has several restaurants in Warsaw and one in Krakow. Knowing polish food quite well, I can really recommend this restaurant to anybody who likes to taste pierogy and have a bite in the old town district. Zapiecek has a quite good variety of cooked and fried pierogy. As far as I can judge, the food is fresh and of a high quality to affordable prices. Service is friendly and — maybe a bit touristic — traditionally clothed. This particular place only has one disadvantage: the toilets. There only is one unisex toilet, which is not that clean and which obliges you to wait in a queue. That’s why I can only rate this place 4 stars. Otherwise 5 may also have been an option. And maybe I should also briefly state that the choice of beer could be a little better. As for me, Tyskie is very fine. Locals may prefer more local beers as this has become a trend in Warsaw lately.
