Best Meal I had on the island. We had the Salmon and the Veal. Portions were ridiculous and so delicious. Staff was awesome very attentive and the waiter was very hot :) if your in Ponta Delgada it’s a must try.

Nice atmosphere and friendly service. Limited menu but therefore you get fresh food. They were friendly enough to prepare something vegetarian even though this was not on the menu. Another plus is the fact that one can sit outside.

My boyfriend and I ordered the flaming chorizo, soup of the day, grilled squid and the traditional steak. It was delicious! The price of the menu items are a bit expensive but definitely worth it. I would definitely go back there. Highly recommend it.

They fired up he kitchen for us late in the evening (off-​season), and the proprietor was as friendly and helpful as everyone of the locals I have met.
The food — the bread was basic, the octopus swam in loads of butter (that’s the style, I think, though that doesn’t make it healthy), but my cod (baccalau) was not just salty, but also very tough. How can such fish not melt in your mouth? I didn’t finish it. (We think it hadn’t been cooked well enough after defrosting.)

Came here for dinner on a Sunday night, one of the few places open then. Really liked the traditional décor including the volcanic stone walls. Started with chouriço a bombeiro («Fireman’s sausage») which was served flaming. Many Azorean restaurants serve this dish but the chouriço here was of a much higher quality. It went perfectly with the house red wine. My husband and I split the polvo grelhado (grilled octopus) and it was unbelievable. Perfectly cooked with complimentary and simple flavors in the garlic-​infused olive oil and smashed potatoes. It was great to have a salad that was more than just a few pieces of lettuce as well. The dish was so good I wish we hadn’t shared it, I wanted one for myself! The owner was there and incredibly welcoming, we will definitely be back!

Excellent meal and super warm, friendly service! We had chourico grilled at our table, grilled limpets (a kind of scallop shellfish with a very distinct flavor), followed by a whole perfectly grilled fish that we selected from the catch, and topped off with some delicious Sao Jorge cheese, all washed down with local wines. You can’t go wrong!

Ate here again on Thursday night (no live music). We got the same entrees and they were just as excellent. For dessert, they didn’t have chocolate mousse, although the server promised they would have it Friday, so I had the lemon pie and it was SOOO good. My boyfriend got some kind of cream/​jello thing with pineapple in it. It was weird, but the pineapple part was good. I think we might go back again tonight! At least for the mousse.

Qualitativ gute Speisen Portionen nicht ganz so riesig wie üblich.
