Greenzone Azores Tours

We took two Greenzone Jeep Tours in Ponta Delgada: Sete Cidades and Furnas. Both were amazing and we had a fantastic time.
The Furnas tour was full day and included the hot springs, caldieras, tea processing factory, lunch and photo opportunities between stops. The jeep seats 8, but there were only 4 of us so there was plenty of room. Our tour guide, Daniel, spoke both Portuguese and English for both groups. He was well informed and a very safe driver. These tours include back roads and off-​roading on some pretty steep slopes! This tour is especially interesting as lunch is cooked in the caldieras and enjoyed at a local restaurant. Very cool. We also had an opportunity to try local liquors.
The Sete Cidades includes another hot spring, the lagoas, more off –oading, a beautiful waterful, lunch and more photo ops. Also a fantastic tour. The sights were a little cloudy, so Daniel rearranged the stops to get the best views. Again, a great tour with a fantastic guide. Daniel is a local and gave restaurant recommendations and told us lots about the area.
Overall, the tours were fantastic and they are a great way to get out of the city for the day.
