A café right on the beach is a great idea and the location offered a fantastic view of the water like so many of the others we went to. However, the selection of food was less than stellar, and the food that we tasted was downright awful. I ordered the«delights of the sea» sandwich, which was anything but delightful. It consisted of a small bit of shredded lobster that actually looked like grated carrot along with some lettuce and tomato on submarine-style bread. There was no mayonnaise or dressing on the sandwich, so I ended up having to request it. They brought me a small package of mayo and I had to disassemble the entire sandwich in order to spread it over top. It was chewy, dry, and tasteless. I was really disappointed as I expected there to be a lot more seafood than what was given to me. Although reasonably priced(I believe 3.30 Euros), the sandwich unfortunately came with no sides. My friend ordered the smoked salmon salad and it was even worse. The«dressing» they gave her consisted of a package of olive oil and a second package of wine vinegar which she was supposed to add to her salad herself. The lettuce was warm and wilted and the cheese was hard and tasteless. The only good thing about the salad was the smoked salmon. Although I thought that my meal was bad, hers was certainly worse and she paid almost 4.00 Euros for the salad. Service was additionally quite sloppy. We weren’t given menus upon arrival so when the waitress came to take our order we told her that we needed to look at the menu first. She finally returned almost 15 minutes later with the menus. We ordered, and then we had a few more servers come over to us asking what we wanted to order. We had to explain every time that we already ordered. Servers barely spoke English which complicated things at the end when we asked to pay our bill. The waitress had to call someone over who spoke English to ask us what we ordered. The whole place was a big mess and it only gets 2 stars because the location was good. I would certainly not return though.
