Very good lunch after the Camuy Cave! Great value for lunch($ 8 a plate). A little worried when we showed up and we were the only customers. But the food was good. The place was simple but very well kept and clean(including the banos). There were lots of choices and they explained each different local dish to us gringos. I had the pork, crispy rice with beans and plantaines. Excellent customer service.

Good food. The pork skin wasn’t crispy enough but it was well seasoned. No air conditioner. It’s a rustic environment as a tipical purrtorrican lechonera. Morcillas stuffed with no rice as my mother says it should be.

Great lechon and sides(rice, plantains, sweet potato) that even our picky 2 year old ate quite a bit. We went there after our cave tour. Great value for the price we paid.

I’m still chewing, that was too good. We got the Lechon and it was succulent and fatty and they make sure to give you a good piece of the skin. You can get a plate with two sides. We chose the red rice and casava root. The rice was delicious!!! And just like all over Puerto Rico the people working there were so nice and helpful. Thank you.

Holy hell. I came here after an intense day of hiking and river tubing and I was absolutely starving. The pork is very salty but the rice and peas. MYGODTHERICEANDPEAS were effing delicious! I could eat a mountain of it. The skin on the pork was crazy good. It had that perfect snap and the fat just melted in your mouth. Again, very salty but the rice and peas balanced it out greatly. Eat this meal with an ice cold coke and you are good to go!

WARNING: if you eat lunch here, you will immediately fall asleep, skip dinner, belch porky goodness, and will still feel full until breakfast. We stopped here after a day at Camuy Caves expecting local down and dirty food. The food was OK — standard fare. I do not think it is still known as Lechonera Rancho T. The pictures show the front of the establishment, everything is the same except that«Lechonera Rest — Rancho T» were painted over.

Great that it’s conveniently close to Rio Camuy Cave Park. The lechon is freshly hacked off the pig via machete and the rice is great. The skin on the lechon is crispy and delicious, but the pork itself is a bit too salty for my taste. Otherwise, it’s very tender and goes great with plantains and rice. A good find if you’re at the caves, where there aren’t too many options.

Best. Pork. Evar! Get fresh roasted, machete-cut, crispy skin pork from the stand out front. Rice & beans and stewed green bananas were great too. $ 13 for 1.5 lbs of pork and sides! Note: all the locals(including policia) come here; that’s how you know it’s legit.

There aren’t very many options around the Rio Camuy caves. There are a couple of restaurants advertised on the Rio Camuy premises and a man stands at the entrance and passes out flyers to one of the nearby restaurants. All of those restaurants have terrible Unilocal reviews. I felt Lechonera Rancho was mediocre. I ordered fried pork which tasted anywhere from good to bland depending on the piece. The pieces were unevenly seasoned and some were way drier than others. Given the lack of options in this area, it’s probably the best choice, unless you want to drive 30 – 60 minutes for food.

I loved this place. After spending the earlier part of the day at las Cuevas we had some fresh lechon and arroz gandules from this spot. the atmosphere is awesome there are chickens running around and the guy wielding a machete over a cutting board. It was delicious. make sure to grab a coconut sugar cake before you leave.

First time having lechon! I can’t stress enough what a great place this is because it’s so close to the touristy cuevas yet bills you at a more than reasonable price. My husband and I got two huge meals plus a drink for $ 15. The lechon had dimensional flavoring from the skin to the meat. The arroz had beans and spare olives which gave it a little bit of flavor but not so that you would find copious amounts in each serving. Their sweet plaintains were less saturated and greasy which I also enjoyed.

We were starving after visiting cueva clara. Never had lechon before, but saw Unilocal reviews. I’m glad we went for this. The restaurant is in a standalone building that looks like a random nothing special place to eat. However, don’t be deceived. On top of that, there is a dude with a huge machete, hacking a whole cooked pig into pieces, which you can see as you drive by. The pork was great. Well flavored and very tender. The machete-wielder gives you essentially boneless pieces. You can pick sides of sweet plantains, green plantains, rice and beans, blood sausages and sweet potatoes. I tried the sweet plantains, rice and sweet potatoes. They were all very good. Also bought a canned drink, malta india, if anyone cares to know. All that for $ 15, which is a killer deal. I would def recommend this to anyone passing by. Cheap, Fast and quality food. you won’t regret it.

After a trip to the Camuy Caverns, we were super hungry. At the gate, there is someone handing out fliers for a restaurant(whose Unilocal reviews are terrible). We found Rancho T as an alternative and I am so glad we did. The food was amazing and cheap. OMG just everything was delicious. If you visit the caverns, do yourself a favor and come here for lunch after. The lechon, the arroz con gandules… don’t miss it!

We stopped here after visiting the caves at Camuy Caves Park. This was my first time eating at a lechonera. All I can say is wow! The pork is really, really, good. It had so much flavor and the skin is nice and crispy. The rice was delicious and the staff was helpful when we ordered in our broken Spanish. If you’re nearby you have to stop in. The only reason I’d take one star off is for the BBQ sauce. It tasted store bought and probably was. I love a great BBQ sauce but the pork is better without it.

This Lechonera on the south side of Route 129 just west of the exit of the Rio Caves in Camuy offers a tasty traditional roast pig. So if you’re exiting the park, make a left and it is literally several hundred yards away on your left hand side towards Lares direction. This was our third day in PR and having circuling a about ¾ of the island, we visited the lechoneras in Guavate also and this place also brings a flavorful and juicy roasted pork. When you’re a visitor on vacation and drive by this place, it seems run down and just not a place you’d stop in if you were at home. But leaving the caves, the guard at the gate recommended to go to an establishment that upon reading many many reviews from various sites, they warned not to go to the recommended eating establishment. So therefore, to combat our hunger we decided to stop into Rancho T. When we pulled up, there were many cars and local Police vehicles(at least 5) were just leaving the establishment with food to-go. On top of that, the line was long for the lechon, the parking lot was full… so it says a lot about it. The order was as follows– Lechon for 2 — Plentiful and tasteful! The meat was moist and that pork was well seasoned all around. The pork skin was tasty and extremely crispy(how I like it), but just a bit on the salty side. The plate was just right for two with just a piece to spare… Yuca — Very yummy and tasty. The mojo that the yuca was topped with was delicious. It had onions, garlic, red and green peppers, olives, and oil. This paired with the yuca was DEEEEELISH! Arroz con Gandules — Seasoned yellow rice with pigeon peas. The rice just came out as we were approaching our turn in line. Am I glad, because the rice was seasoned lightly and not overly salty to pair with the salty pork was just right! Rice was soft and hot! Morcilla — Blood sausage. Greatly satisfying! This probably was the best one the I’ve had throughout the trip. The others that I’ve tried were mainly rice rather than the blood cake in the sausage filling. The one at Rancho T was flavorful, mixed with the right amount of fat and very little ‘fillers.’

Great place to go after visiting the Camuy Caves. its just a little bit down the road on the left. we were skeptical at first but so glad we stopped in and tried. The lechon/roast pork was fantastic… just the right amount of salty savory flavor, and also the arroz con gandules just came out of the kitchen so it was hot and fresh and full of pigeon peas and chunks of little pieces of pork! try it out you ll be surprised, especially after the caves. also the location on Unilocal is wrong
