The menu totally changed without any notice. Most of the photos of dishes in Unilocal are not available now. The new menu has less variety of food and less appealing. Disappointed!

We were just looking to go to the playground next-door(with our 3yr old twins) but the gate was locked. Edward, the owner, was out front and directed us to the gate around the other side and gave us some tips and info. He was so charming we decided to stop back for cocktails after the playground. Edward was manning the bar and whipped up some amazing frozen drinks including a couple of kid versions. The kids and grown ups agreed they were the best cocktails we’d had on the island so far. We decided we had to return for dinner the next night. Next day, we hit the playgoers at 6:00pm then Coconuts at 7:00. The bartender, Raffa greeted us and whipped up another batch of frozen delights that were just as good as the previous day and Edward himself whipped up another virgin treat for the kids. We ordered a Margarita pizza and the Pineapple/Jalepeno one. They were delicious. Both kids scarfed down 3 pieces each in complete silence! If you have kids you know how rare that is. Bottom line; the place is super friendly, the drink are good, the food is delicious and the prices are great.

Great pizza, but the service lacked in that the waiter didn’t really know what he was doing. He took our order for drinks upon recommendation from us, then we ordered. was asked for salad and pizza and water. The pizza came no problem, but had to remind him 2x for the water, and 3 times for the salad. He also seemed more concerned with yelling to his friend on the street, and over our shoulder, «I’ll call you later!» pretty rude. I did come to the island with the understanding that things here are different and slow sometimes(island time…) and that my idea of how things should happen will be much different than what actually happens, so I don’t want to give a bad review. The host came and apologized, and was gracious.

While the food was good, the service was very uneven. It took our party of 6 over 2 hours to get 4 pizzas, 2 entrees and sides. As other reviewers have noted, the wait staff had to be reminded multiple times of items that had been ordered. They were very pleasant but seemed disorganized and inexperienced with everything they were trying to manage. The last entrée arrived after all of the other meals were finished and leftovers were boxed. And when my meal finally came, the waiter took my silverware so I still couldn’t eat it. Silverware was replaced but the vegetables still weren’t served. When the asparagus and green beans, which looked and tasted like zucchini, were brought from the kitchen, the man who brought them to the table asked«Where do these go?» Doesn’t it seem logical that they must belong to the people who are still eating? When our checks arrived, we found that an 18% gratuity was added despite all of the delays. When one of our party suggested that the meal that came after all of the other diners had finished should be comped, the waiter said he would get the«big boss.» The man who came to speak to us started the conversation with a sarcastic, «Sorry I ruined your entire vacation.» When reminded that we were customers and deserved to be treated with respect he claimed that our party had been disruptive and abusive to the wait staff.(After his accusation, I stepped inside to ask the waiters if we had been a problem; they assured me we had not.) The«big boss» proceeded to become more angry and hostile to the point that we were concerned that he was going to start throwing tables and punches. Based on our experience, I would recommend staying away from Coconuts Pizza. If the man who«handled» our concerns is the owner, he deserves to go out of business. If he is managing the restaurant for an owner, do your business a favor and get rid of him or he will ruin you business.

Let me begin with the fact that we came on the night of a ‘soft re-opening’…Edward the owner is really nice and service was on point. However, it was not ‘figured out’ yet. The food was good, I had salmon ‘cooked in parchment’ that was not really cooked in the parchment, it was added after for effect… veggies were a little less than al dente’ — very crunchy. NY Strip was adequate at best, needed seasoning. It was a little scattered, we would have to give it another try, but ran out of time on the island. I hope when you go it is improved…

Food was on point. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Drinks were interesting but will start the night off right. Saves my night ! Will be back for sure ! Wish it was open more often. I hear this restaurant and Suzzies are the only ones were they won’t rip you off and actually offer good service and food.

I hope the owner of this place gets to read this review and uses it as constructive criticism. I have to congratulate the chef because the food here is excellent. We ordered the coconut shrimp, and the mahi mahi filet which was served with a papaya sauce and a majado(mash) of batata, coconut and cinnamon. For dessert we had the coconut flan. Everything was super tasty and beautifully presented. However, the service is another story. We were quickly seated and ordered water from one server. 20 minutes later, there was no water and another server came to the table. We ordered the shrimp and that took about another half hour. We ordered a house salad that never came and was charged on the ticket. The entrée came about an hour after being seated. To order dessert we had to signal another waiter because ours had disappeared. Finally we had to dispute the salad that never came. This could be a 4 – 5 star restaurant given the food but the service needs a lot of improvement. The waiters looked confused, messy, and unattentive. Honestly I hope they get a clue and bring better service because I really enjoyed the food. Thus, it’s a 3 star experience for me.

Okay, to get the facts out of the way… We ordered a formaggi pizza with mushrooms and pepperoni. Tasted AMAZING. The Cheeses were super savory! Originally, they forgot the pepperoni and the waitress was superb and had it added immediately. Wine selection was pretty good, better than most on Culebra. The ambiance was INCREDIBLE! Stevie Wonder and bossanova playing over the speakers left myself and my girlfriend very relaxed. The owner recently had an illuminated waterfall fountain installed which was also a great touch since the sound of the water was really easing. The owner is extremely humble, he even went as far as saying he had a long way to go despite the fact he had done an incredible job with the place. He was big on the little touches which was nice since you don’t see that much in Broward and Miami-Dade counties(South Florida). The waitress was phenomenal and very personable! One of Culebra’s finest, no doubt. Just a well run establishment with great food! If you’re on the island, I definitely recommend stopping by! The owner’s attention to detail is reason enough… the food is an added plus!

Place has amazing potential, great décor, friendly people, delicious food. It just took two hours to get a large pizza and a salad. No napkins. Owner is an incredibly nice guy and someone you should meet while on Culebra. Will be back soon, hope your food arrives sooner.

I don’t understand all the five-star reviews for this place. The food is overpriced and just average. I got the caprice salad and the tomatoes were greenish and mealy. The pizzas are okay but that’s just it, okay. We tried the calamari as well and it tasted like it was frozen from a box at Costco. Definitely would not order that again. Also, the owner was loudly blaring Sting and it was very offputting. But if you’re into post-Police Sting and other soft rock you’ll dig it I guess. Not a very islandy vibe. Except for the service which was definitely on «Island time.» 4 of us spent $ 200 on two salads, three pizzas, two appetizers, and eight beers. Ouch.

Hands down, the best restaurant on the island. The ceviché was great and very well portioned! There was so much fish! The wine by the bottle was well priced and I had tuna and yucca fries. Omg! Sooogoood. Suszie’d was good, but we thought this was far better. Better priced, better portions and better flavor

A must go while in Culebra! We tried alot of different restaurants during our visit to Culebra but this was the best by far. Very modern and clean décor with a beautiful waterfall in which the owner made himself. The service was excellent and their Mojito’s rock! We had the coconut shrimp and chicken for appetizers and pizza for our main dish, all were very good. The prices were slightly higher but well worth it. Its very family friendly but just be careful of street parking as the police love to write tickets! Oh yeah just like all the other places in Culebra you must use bugspray!

The food here was delicious! My flank steak was wonderful – one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time. We tried the coconut shrimp too, which I highly recommend. The best part of the meal was the coconut flan. The consistency reminded me a bit more of a cheesecake than a flan, but the flavor was great. There were small chocolate chips with it(bonus!). The food presentation was by far the best I experienced in Puerto Rico. The downside was that the service was SLOW and sporadic. It took us 20 minutes to be seated as it appeared they were short staffed and could not keep up with the tables. They ran out of napkins when our appetizers arrived, and we were given silverware but one napkin to share(kind of tacky – a paper napkin would’ve been a better alternative to none). Our meals did not come out as the same time. My husbands came out fifteen minutes before mine. I would’ve liked to have enjoyed my dinner at the same time as him. Our meal took over two hours from start to finish to enjoy, which was okay since we had no where to be, but some consistency would’ve been nice. The atmosphere is lovely, the food is good, and we would probably give it another try if we return to Culebra.

Wonderful dining experience tonight. Food was spectacular, had the skirt steak and mahi mahi ceviche(which was very fresh). Key like pie might be the best I’ve ever tasted, more like a key lime custard. Not a pizza joint, this is truly fine dining. Outdoor patio is lovely, and even the music(choice and quality of the sound) is great. Head and shoulders above other restaurants in Culebra. This place knocks it out of the park.

By far the best place in Culebra. Culebra is a nice place but it lacks professionalism in the restaurants. Most places are terrible and you have to wait for a long time while people treat you as if you’re not there. This place is different. The owner cares and the services is nice. It’s probably a 4 star in my list by in Culebra is definitely a 5 star. There is nothing there that compares. The only other place that has good service is Dinghy Dock.

I really really enjoyed this place for several reasons: 1.) The service, owner, cooks are wonderful. They are so nice and friendly and really create a welcoming atmosphere where you can relax and enjoy yourself. 2.) The food is not only amazing, but it is beautifully presented and at a reasonable price. I think it’s better than majority of the places on the island and it’s around the same price as the other more popular ones. We had the ahi tuna which was probably some of the best tuna I’ve ever had. Also, you HAVE to get their coconut flan dessert! My boyfriend and I wanted to get more to go because it was that good. 3.) It has an open kitchen, meaning that you can see inside the kitchen and what the cooks are doing and making. The kitchen is very clean and you can even go back and watch if you want to. This makes me more comfortable knowing that my fish is cooked in a sanitary environment.

Excellent fine dining experience in Culebra. Every dish has been well-thought made with fresh ingredient. For appetizers, we’ve had their octopus and lobster macaroni. Both were really good. We’ve had the lobster-stuffed coal fish and grilled mahi mahi for the main course. Fresh and excellent. Even their spin of mofongo was a pleasant surprise. It’s creamy with garlic and bacon. I believe I tasted bacon. Although a lot more expensive than other restaurants in the island, you are paying for better quality. The quality is something I would get and pay for in New York City. Although I wanted to get a more laid back cheaper local cuisine island, this is a great option if you want to go with some fancy dining on your vacation.

I went there with my husband for the quiet atmosphere it has. It’s away from town, which is great. We ordered a rib eye, which was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The ceviche had really fresh mahi mahi but had no flavor. No citrus bite, no other spice, it was pretty flat tasting. We had a salad which was big and fresh. It was truly GREAT. We also ordered Mofongo which traditionally old school style is smashed green plantains with chicharron and garlic. It was decent, but not special. The coconut tiramisu was really good but I ordered coffee with it and finally I gave up waiting for it because my tiramisu was melting away. The staff there is very nice. They add a 15% tip onto your bill which we didn’t like. We always leave at minimum 20% for good service, but since the 15% was added, it kinda got in our craw being forced on us and my attitude is if a tip is added, that is all they are getting. Overall, in spite of the 3 stars, it really is the best place on the island because it is FRESH, REAL, food unlike 95% of the rest on the island that uses everything from Costco. You really should go there. I can’t wait to try them again after they work out their kinks and I can give them a higher rating. I at first gave them 3 stars, and they are not quite 4 yet but alas there are no half stars.
