Incredible Lobster Risotto… truly amazing! Cozy island ambiance with food and service that is some of the best on the island. Reservations highly recommended in advance. The best selection of wine on the island! Do not miss this place!

I agree with many of the other reviewers. Stick to the lobster(it is divine!) Enjoy a side of the lobster risotto. And save room for the rum bread pudding. It is amazing! We also had the owner personally go through the menu with us which was quite nice. And be ready to be packed into a full house.

I can’t wait to go back to El Eden! We had the muscles for an appetizer and they were fantastic. Great flavor and a huge serving. For dinner I ordered the Pasta de Mariscos… oh my gosh– so delicious!!! I would recommend not going on your last night because you will most likely have leftovers, the portions are huge. The pasta had all kinds of seafood and the sauce was perfect.

Ordered stuffed swordfish with gnocchi pasta and churasco? With lobster risotto. I think this place could have easily been 5 stars, but swordfish just doesn’t taste good, no matter how it’s cooked. Everything else was really good, really recommend the churasco.

Our first night on the island we are here and had a great experience. The food is superb the dessert even better. We also realized during this experience that we are now on island time which means order quick because it’s going to be a while till it comes out. The service was fine — both of the owners visited with us for a bit which probably delayed dinner longer since I think they were the only two working that night. Overall very enjoyable but don’t visit if your in a hurry

We had dinner here on a Wednesday night. We called an hour before to make a reservation. It wasn’t very crowded, so we didn’t have to wait long for our food, although on TripAdvisor a lot of people said they waited hours for their food. Our waitress was very friendly and nice. The ambiance is so-so, but I figured as much since we are on an island and didn’t expect fine dining of any sort. It was a laid back vibe, friendly owners walking around talking to customers and a decent meal. I had the Argentinean Churassco skirt steak, which was a huge portion. My husband had the lobster risotto. We had the bread pudding for dessert, which was quite tasty. Overall okay experience, although next time I would go to Dingy Dock for the waterfront atmosphere and would imagine the same level of food.

The food was simply amazing! Every dish we ordered was delicious! We had the Churrasco with a side of Saffron Lobster Risotto, Red Snapper with a side of Grapes and Chorizo Risotto; friends ordered Churrasco with a side of Pesto Gnocchi, Mushroom Risotto, Rice and Beans, Sweet Plantains, and Lamb Chops with another side of Grapes and Chorizo Risotto. We also had Tres Leches cake for dessert. I tried everything and everything was excellent! Taste, texture, portion size and presentation were all amazing! The owner was also super nice and friendly and took the time to go through everything on the menu with us before we ordered our food. The portions of the side dishes were large enough to be eaten as a meal. You have to make your reservation early enough as they do fill up fast, and with good reason. I would highly recommend this place when visiting Culebra!

This was the worst food we had during our 10 day trip to culebra. The food was so incredibly rich that after a few bites it started to taste bad. My boyfriend ordered the steak medium, and it arrived cooked well done. He brought it to the server’s attention, who didn’t seem surprised in the least. After a lengthy wait, they brought out another steak which was again well-done. The servers neglected our table and a few of the other tables in the restaurant as well, focusing on a large table of tourists ordering many drinks. Our table also would have ordered many more drinks if anyone had bothered to ask. Each person in our party ordered a different dish, and each one of us was very disappointed in our meal. For the price of the meals, the food should have been exponentially better. Here’s the worst part. After being handed our check with empty glasses of water and no offers of dessert, we got up to pay our bill and leave. We told the female owner that the service was sub par and our drinks were not attended to, she responded by saying we seemed to have an attitude when we walked in. We responded by saying actually we had been excited to come here. She said she hoped we found better food elsewhere on the island. As a business owner, not caring about customer happiness is absolutely idiotic. Her husband also acted as the bartender and took about 20 minutes per drink. He was very drunk. Highly professional. I recommend if you want good food on culebra to go ANYWHERE but here. Dinghy dock was excellent. Even the little empanada stand was so much better.

The menu is very rich in terms of different dishes. We have been to Sussie’s and dingkhy dock(or something like that) their menus were nearly the same. However at El Eden you find a rich menu. The service is also very attentive. The serving sizes are big enough and the food was delicious, juicy and well done. Try olive salad as an appetizer. We loved that dish with different types olives served with warm bread and cheese. Rich in drinks as well:) The bill includes the tip!!!

This is truly not only the best restaurant in Culebra Island; I have to say it is by far one of the best restaurants I’ve been in the Caribbean. Very Very Very important, call and make reservations, they are always full. I love the concept of a simple and warm salon. It is not a fancy restaurant even though the food quality is way above most restaurants. The risotto of chorizo and grape is AWESOME! The Gnocchi in pesto sauce AWESOME too!!! The Lobsters and the Fish are fresh! For dessert the BUDIN :-) is a MUSTMUSTMUSTTRY! As I stated above, please call and make reservations. This little restaurant is run by their owners Luz and Richard(great people!!) and they have a limited capacity.

Best food on the island. Beautiful, friendly staff. Well worth the price. The staff were amazing. I had some of the best italian food in my life here, and I’ve been to Italy(florence specifically) several times. I think everyone should check this place out. It is a bit expensive, but if you’re on vacation why not spoil yourself. I would highly recommend this place to my friends, my loved ones, and my family. The TOPS!

First, the website says its open 9am-9pm but call to make sure. We tried to go for lunch on Tuesday and when we got there found a sign that says they are open Wed-Sun. In general, I’d say you should call anyplace you are heading to on Culebra, this wasn’t the only restaurant that was closed despite their website indicating they were open. The place is run by a husband(bartender) and wife(hostess) team, and they do a really nice job of making you feel welcome. She sat down with us(I am not kidding) and explained the items on the menu while her husband prepared our drinks. I ordered the grouper, which came with lobster risotto but I have to say the portion of risotto was overwhelming and wasn’t that great. It wasn’t bad, but it was just blah. I wished I had paid more attention to her explanation of how the grouper was prepared — I assume it would be grilled but it came out battered and deep fried. With the limited choices in restaurants on the island, you definitely should try this place, if only for the hospitality. Definitely stop by to buy wine as this is the only place that has any choices, unless you like Moscano.

This place came highly recommended from the owners of our guest house and we made reservations for a special dinner on our last night on the island. We were underwhelmed. First, our appetizers did not arrive untill a full hour after we placed our order. When we finally got our bruschetta — tasty enough rounds of garlic bread topped with salami, prosciutto, and sweet pepper — the rest of our meal, including salads, arrived all at once before we had time to finish the appy’s. Lobster rissotto was ok, but a little light on the lobster meat. Whole fried snapper was good, maybe the best selection of the evening. NY strip steak was mediocre, like a steak I’d expect from a mainland supermarket; neither particularly tender nor tasty. The seafood pasta was a great big pile of way-overcooked mushy farfale smothered in a watery cream sauce. We picked out the clams and mussles and any other seafood tidbits and left the rest. El Eden was not the worst food I had on Culebra, but neither was it the best, and because it was by far the most expensive it was the most dissapointing meal I had all week. Highpoints were Zaco’s Tacos, Heathers Pizza, and Flamenco Beach kiosks, all less pretentious, cheaper, and more delicious.

my first trip to culebra in 2006 had us visiting el eden every day for sandwiches to bring to the beach. my second trip in 2012 had us dining extravagantly on fresh, healthy cuisine. the folks at el eden could not have gone more out of their way to make us feel comfortable and accommodated with food options. literally everything on the menu could be customized to our liking, which is amazing. we had a few bushwackers, the local cocktail blend of rum, chocolate syrup, and a few other goodies, and shared the conch salad and stuffed swordfish with zucchini pasta. the food was absolutely perfect, the service was spectacular, and we were thrilled with the experience.

Nice little spot across the street from our go to market here in Culebra, Milka this Café/Bar/Deli/Bodega is a very clean and well decorated with eclectic island décor. The owners Luz & Richard were very nice and friendly everytime we visited. The food is good but just like most places on this island the service may take a little while. The Cubano is it!!! When you come to Culebra make sure you Make it a point to check this place out.
