Romano’s Macaroni Grill

The best Macaroni in PR. Recently was well deserved awarded for that. I’ve been a regular scince opening.

Awful. Slooooow service. We were in a small group half of us had to wait almost 20 minutes to eat. The waiter didn’t even apologize. Had to ask for water and refill several times. Don’t go there.

Quick seating service! Friendliness! Even if it was busy, the service was fairly quick! Plates are plentiful! The skirt steak of my party was rubberish, but as soon as informed, the manager came and offered an apology and to change the plate or do a new one of the same!
Cold beers! Good Bellini!

Food is nice! When its full the services cuality drops! Usually fast service unless its full. They have Reduced the portions so less food is waisted.
Drinks are good, they now have artesanal beers.
Deserts still great! Specially the warm chocolate cake with ice cream!

Went on a slow Sunday by myself. Waited 5 minutes for waitress. Had enough time to order my complete meal with a glass of water. Ordered tomato soup, salad and the special spaghetti and meatballs. Then the wait began. 30 minutes later i flagged down a manager to find out if my waitress got lost. No water or anything yet. She apologized and within the next 5 minutes i had everything. So much for timing! The soup was good, the green salad was ok, however the spaghetti and meatballs was horrible. The sauce was meat sauce with beef which was ok, but the meatballs were grey. Had to be pork, but the manager insisted it was beef. Tasted like pork, so i sent it back. They comped the meal thank goodness. Will not go back unless its my last meal because it would last forever.

This is my favorite restaurant, hands down.
All the pro’s:
1. Affordable menu. Many plates under $ 20, and excellent daily specials for about $ 10.
2. Food is DELICIOUS. No matter what you order, you will always be satisfied with a delicious meal and generous servings. Oh! And their fresh baked bread is awesome!
3. The wait staff is generally very good at taking care of the patrons, even on crowded days.
4. The look and feel of the restaurant is always nice. Looks expensive and feels comfortable.
The only con I can honestly think of is that food is slow on crowded days– which happens a lot.
