1. Reserved on March, 2015 for August 2015 for a wedding. They got the reservation wrong, and we’re unwilling to do anything about it. 2. Talked to the manager his response was«stay at another hotel.» 3. Shower had no warm or hot water, and on top of it was clogged. 4. They’re breakfast was literally a carton of orange juice, a couple of cheese single slices, and a loaf of bread. 5. Only good thing was the host named Lu, who tried her best to calm me down when I got there after a 13 hour flight to find they had messed up my reservation. 6. STAYAWAY from this hotel.

Nicest hotel I have EVER stayed in. Huge bathroom, soft bed, high ceilings, beautiful molding, etc. Our area was super quiet. Wifi worked perfectly. Any other hotel I ever stay at will be a disappointment. Stay here, you will not regret it!

This place is quirky and very affordable. Great architecture characteristic of the area. Beautiful common areas. Internet signal was weak and worked only in the lobby, but there was also a shared computer with free internet and it was never busy. It IS loud, but that’s the location for you… this place is right around the corner from the town square in Ponce, and the town square gets very loud on Friday and Saturday nights. It was much quieter on a Sunday night, so keep that in mind. The side of the hotel facing the town square backs up on a fairly loud bar /club, but Friday night, our room on the other side of the building was fine. Side note? If you haven’t been to Ponce, the town square is AWESOME. Seriously, I would be content staying here for a few nights and just going to the square and talking to random people and just paying attention to the random stuff going on there… there’s always something happening, especially weekend nights, but, really, all the time. I found our rooms(we stayed here twice in two different rooms) to be very clean. One room was open to the outdoors, and had some mosquitos coming in(we visited in May, a wet month) so I did wake up with a few more mosquito bites, but a negligible amount compared to the amount we got walking around. Continental breakfast is minimal. They have whole grain bread(one of the few times I saw whole grain anything in Puerto Rico), and nutella… big plus, and London Cuppa tea(the only place in Puerto Rico I saw something higher-end tea than Lipton being served). But there was only orange drink, no legit orange juice, and I didn’t like that. They also only had an artificial, processed butter spread. I find it hard to find healthy foods in Puerto Rico, so I suppose this place isn’t too bad by comparison, but I would have appreciated real butter and real orange juice, or whole fruit. Staff mostly speaks English; some staff speaks broken English and a few people speak no English. But that’s the norm for Ponce. Don’t travel here if you expect to be able to speak to everyone in English, stay around San Juan if you want that. But the staff here were very nice and helpful. My Spanish is minimal, and when I had to speak to people who only spoke Spanish, they slowed down and I was able to understand them just fine. I would definitely stay here again.

In the quieter parts of Ponce, we were heading towards the square after checking out a nice antique shop where we bought an antique coffee grinder we walked past Hotel Belgica — our eyes lit up not expecting to see a hotel with a Belgian name. We walked into this historical european style hotel and were greeted by the owner who was family was from Belgium. He told us we could tour the hotel if we wanted even though we werent looking for a room. We checked out the upstairs architecture and the houses that were build into the back of another it was very interesting indeed.

Really nice hotel for a great bargain. It was $ 85 a night for a double bed room. The rooms are large with 15 – 20 foot ceilings. The bathroom looked to have been recently renovated and there was a small fridge in there if you need to refrigerate food. Besides the double beds, the room also had 3 nice wicker chairs and a table; perfect for lounging. It sits right of the main square and is surrounded by buildings with beautiful architecture. There is a computer with Internet if you need it. The continental breakfast was sort of weak with some bread, nutella, some yogurt, cereal, and chips. At least they feed you though. Staff is nice, but have slightly broken English.
