Happy hour… good, strong 2 for 1 margaritas. Have had the chicken nachos, chicken quesaddia, and fajitas numerous times. They are very good and the service is also very good. Alberto a very attentive waiter!

Really loved this place. Came here on our first day for drinks and appetizers and then back on our last day. Cucumber margarita is awesome for those of you who don’t want the over sweet/sour regular margaritas. Servers were so friendly and helpful. We only tried nachos and quesadillas both with carnitas and so tasty.

My cousins and I had a fun time at Tijuana’s. We were a group of 10, and one of my cousins called ahead to secure a reservation. When we arrived, we were told they don’t actually do reservations, even though they confirmed with us earlier. However, the staff was extremely helpful and got us a table in this small restaurant quickly in the outside patio area. While we waited on the sidewalk for our table, we looked at the menus and even placed our drink order for some margaritas. I had the classic margarita, but there were many flavors and options available. I tried some of the passion fruit one which was tasty as well. I had the tostadas with chicken and some of the cheese dip appetizer. The tostadas were served on two big tortilla chips with spicy chicken, avocado, cheese and sour cream. We all enjoyed our food and drinks, and the service was great.

My little family of four ate here two nights ago. It was just steps from the Marriott and as others have stated the service is slow but that is only in comparison to American Mexican places. We had chips and salsa immediately and the margaritas were fantastic. As others stated the first one on the house and each after is a charge. We had the Cadillac and the tiajunna margaritas(sp?) We also had the queso with chorizo but the consistency was more cheese than chorizo(not creamy like American Mexican foods) but this is not America! My husband had the Gordo burrito and my daughters had the chicken tacos and quesadillas.(I don’t remember the names). We were met with very friendly people and staff. It was also very busy for a Friday night mixed with locals and tourists which says a lot.(There was a wait and people were sitting outside for a table). Icing on the cake was the mariachi band that sang to the restaurant. It was a wonderful experience for us all.

Service is slooooow and absent minded but friendly. Nothing to write home about restaurant but good spicy chicken soup, free chips and salsa, and a decent Tijuana margarita.

Visited here for an ad-hoc drink mid-afternoon just because the place looked nice outside. For the location and venue overall I think that the drinks(premium margaritas for $ 12ea, those were good though) were overpriced — two nights later we had really nice cocktails in the restaurants at La Concha resort for the same price.

The food tasted like a regular chain restaurant. The chips were stale, the service could of been a bit better and the quesadillas seemed to be a bit on the underaverage side. I would say possibly the worst I’ve tasted. The enchiladas Verdes were ok.

Big portions and affordable. The salsa for the nachos in the beginning is so spicy and awesome and the shrimp quesadillas were amazing

Had a really awesome experience here last night. Came in with no reservation around 6:30 on a Friday night & had a nice choice of outdoors or indoors. They had a DJ that was playing spanish music & interacting with the crowd. My BF had the burrito & didn’t care for it bc it had too much cheese. I had the Mexican lasagna & I liked the presentation & consistency but it was rather flavorless. We both had margaritas. I had the jala-Rita & it was awesome. BF had the acai(I tried it & it was awesome) & then the red bull Marg. He enjoyed both.

Over all, Tijuana had slightly bland food for Mexican cuisine. The gucamole is good. The salsa is nice and warm. But their chips are unsalted and basically taste like unseasoned Doritos. I got the pork flautas and the presentation was fantastic, but if I didn’t have the sour cream/guacamole that it came with I would have has no flavor for it. The waiters always seemed so busy for a place this small. We sat outside and the environment was breezy, laid back and a little slice of Mexico. I’d say come here if you want to save a buck and get a fairly decent meal. Though I’m not going to be seeking this place out as a must eat.

I came in for a bite to eat and a drink before my condo rental was ready and I have a little over a hour to kill(visiting from Indiana). Alan was my waiter — very fluent in Spanish/English and was friendly. I had the chicken fajita tacos(can’t remember actual name) with the hard shell. The tacos were good but not great(just wanted some more flavor). Alan got me some hot sauce but it was the haberno based green kind. It wasn’t too spicy, just not a fan of green based sauces. Free chips and salsa — these were both good. Salsa is a bit more spicy then most salsa served on the mainland. I had the Perfecta margarita(supposedly their strongest). I personally wasn’t a fan of it but it had a pretty good punch. All in all — $ 30 for 2 tacos and a premium margarita. It is a tourist area so its to be expected but I could have probably found better.

We had the fajaitias & margaritas. Both were good. Chips & salsa are complimentary. I especially enjoyed the nice AC& the view after walking around old San Juan as well as the clean bathrooms.

Definitely needed to try some traditional latina comida while in PR! This place was pretty good, and service wasn’t so bad either. Since we’re vegetarian, our options were limited, however our waitress tried her best to accommodate. I felt bad because she seemed very tired, but quickly wiped her face of that fatigue and continued to diligently serve us. We got the build-your-own burrito and I must say the fajitas were pretty amazing! Didn’t get the margaritas, but they looked amazing! It also seemed like a cool sports bar so would definitely come back if I were to return with friends. It was a bit disappointing that the interior wasn’t super clean and spacious. It felt a little stuffy in there at times, so would definitely suggest sitting outside if you can. Lastly, the salsa that comes with the complimentary chips was made from chicken scratch so vegetarians beware! Overall not a bad place to try on the strip.

Although i love Tijuanas Bar and Grill, especially their margaritas and their totopos & Salsa, I prefer the Old San Juan location by far. Their food was just as good but like another person reviewed… «wish this place was a little larger» and my bartender back in Old San Juan knows just how i like it. Also i had the wierd experience that the waiter sat down with us to talk when we were trying to have a date night. My prefered location will always be the Old San Juan Tijuanas.

Yummy mexican food and strong margaritas. We hit up Tijuana’s before departing for the airport and it was satisfying and the portions are HUGE! Cute outside patio area for people watching, too.

Pretty good Mexican food, I was impressed. The salsa that came out with the chips was a little lame, but we got an excellent meat and cheese dip(I forget what it was called) that was delicious. For the main course, we got the steak quesadilla(I forget what this was called as well… forgive my poor memory and ‘poorer’ Spanish) that was also delicious. Splitting the quesadilla ended up being plenty for 2 and I was left full, which is saying a lot. I hear they have good margaritas, but I didn’t try this time. Overall, everything included was about $ 35. Service was fast and friendly and the place had a good atmosphere. Would go back for sure.
