As good as it gets for price and location in Condado! Family friendly, amazing Sangria and truly a gem in the city of over-priced eateries. We took our two young boys(age 6 and 3) and enjoyed traditional Italian on the outside patio. I highly recommend to either go later as we did(after 7:30) or earlier as it appears to be a local favorite. Husband had the chicken parm, which he loved. I had the linguine with white clam sauce. Fresh clams and yummy sauce. Children had spaghetti with marina and gave rave reviews. The Sangria comes by the pitcher(large or medium). I recommend the large! Definitely homemade. Also a big slice of homemade chocolate cake for dessert was a big hit with the kids. We would definitely eat here again.

This place is definitely a favorite with the younger crowd but also has loyal older customers. The lasagna and baked ziti with meatballs were good. There is indoor and outdoor seating available.

We came here twice for dinner during our five days in San Juan. The food was delicious and our servers were very nice. The outdoor seating area was pleasant and we simply enjoyed everything about this restaurant. Our only surprise was that service was a bit slow, even to get our bill at the end, but we were on «island time» and it didn’t bother us. Definitely a place I would return to if I’m in the Condado area again.

Delicious food, great service! It was very close to the hotel, so i was able to take a nice walk after my meal! They recommended the sangria to wash down my pizza, as soon as I drank the first glass i knew it was a great idea! They have a relaxing terrace, which is were I sat; but they have indoor seating too. Not too expensive, something I take into consideration while on vacation!

I stumbled across the restaurant while walking down ashford ave the only thing I can say is WOW! There food is so amazing and the staff is very friendly. I had the Julius Sub and it was literally the best sub I have ever had. It’s loaded with meat and cheeses! I was only able to eat half and I saved the other half for dinner.

Have home in area and when in town Villa Appia is one of our favorite stops. Good mixture of Italian food including some good pizzas. Decent bar and the best white Sangria around. Also must mention they have Spanish food daily specials also very good. A lot of locals hang around and the boss is a usual fixture. Enjoy

This place has friendly service. We were a group of 6, and some of us got great food, and a few of us really didn’t. Standouts: The octupus salad, chicken chicharones, and the GROUPER! The grouper was the winner. It came with a sad looking pasta side, but the main course was cooked perfectly and was tasty. Avoid: The mussels-they were really tough. The steak was a cheap cut of meat, overcooked, and flooded with onions. One of us ordered a chicken dish that had a spanish name(sorry I can’t remember what it was called), but it was a bland chicken breast with nothing special going on. Forks and dishes were kinda dirty, but the server replaced them. We’re italians so we didn’t order the italian options knowing our standards are really high for that cuisine. Most of our food was ordered from the«specials» menu on the chalkboard.

I went here for the first time with my girlfriend and her friend the other day, and honestly the pizza was one of the freshest I’ve ever had. I split a medium specialty pizza with my girlfriend, and it was quite tasty with lots of toppings. Unfortunately though, our waiter was pretty awful. He was rude throughout the time we were there, and even at one point started going off on my girlfriend’s friend for not paying the check fast enough. The food was really good, and honestly the other servers seemed pretty nice other than ours, so we’ll probably go back again, but hopefully we won’t have that awful server again.

We wanted to try something other than Latin food after 4 days of just eating that. The sit out was nice and I love Italian food so we wanted to try this place. The service was nice. I had Lasagna Pollo & Veg and loved it. The garlic bread they give to soak the leftover sauce was really tasty. My wife had a Spaghetti Meatballs which she didn’t like all that much.

was highly recommended so we stopped by LOCATION: 4 stars — on Condado’s main drag, Avenida Ashford PARKING: 3 stars — street. don’t think has valet AMBIANCE: 3 stars — casual, in line with the quality of cuisine being offered SERVICE: 3.5 stars — i think maybe we confused the waiter cuz we had ordered pizza and fried chicken, but only pizza came out. then we asked about our fried chicken, so he put in that order. we said we’d eat it at the restaurant, but it came out in a ‘to-go’ bag. so we opened it up and ate some chicken straight out of the bag. no biggie — other than that, service was attentive FOOD: 3 stars — APPIAPIZZA: onion/bell pepper/peperoni/mushroom: tasty. crust thickness b/w new york thin crust and like a dominoes pizza. dough was just ok. — FRIEDCHICKEN: was crispy, but did not like the flavor. need to ask what oil they fry their chicken in when i go back. would like to come back and try out the pasta menu.

Nervous about having Italian food in Puerto Rico, but it was rather good! I had sausage and peppers wit fettucine, which was delicious. Son had prosciutto and onion pizza, and loved it. Husband enjoyed chorizo calzone, daughter had spaghetti and meatballs. All left happy!

After a long day and checking into our hotel That was dated for the 80’s this was a refreshing place. It’s geared towards locals but staff were very nice and accommodating to us. We had pizza which was excellent and shrimp Alfredo was awesome ! A tasty place!

We did not order exactly from the Italian menu(which is pretty much comparable with any Italian restaurant menu)/but from the daily specials which have not much to do with Italian and not only the size was huge but the food was tasty and fresh; this was a good surprise since we stayed near by and although we passed by several times, never contemplated the idea of trying this place. The daily specials are a great buy(quality vs size vs price). Highly recommended! The onion liver, chicken fricassee and the ripe fried plantains were very very good and everything was good portion, great taste. We will be back when in San Juan. The only reason I don’t give them 5 stars is because of presentation: it can be better but otherwise it was awesome!

We stopped here twice during our stay — the first time was just for drinks, but after smelling the pizza we knew we’d come back again for that. When we did, it didn’t dissapoint — very good island pizza. If you are used to NY or Chicago pizza, then no, it isn’t that. However, its good, and this place had some of the best service we experienced in Condado. Do yourself a favor and stop in — you’ll be glad you did. Even if its just for drinks, this is one of the few places you’ll go in Condado where you won’t end up sitting around with an empty glass for 10 minutes.

We were looking for someplace to satisfy our pasta cravings and we stumbled upon this little joint. The staff was über friendly and the dishes were perfectly simple. Spaghetti was on point. Perfect flavor in sauce and meats. The salad was great, and it was a very easy place to have some comfort food. Enjoy this place.

Surprised to see a decent Italian restaurant in Condado but it was a nice change up from Mufongo! The Hawaiian pizza was good if not a bit light on sauce. The fried Calamari with marinara was enjoyable too. Sangria was good but did not live up to the Unilocal hype. I ordered a Medalla Light and it was $ 4+, too expensive considering the other nearby places were charging $ 2-$ 2.50! The staff was very friendly and attentive. Even though you may have to stand in line it moves fast! Definitely check it out if your in San Juan for more than a few nights. Expect to overpay, but it’s in a tourist area so shouldn’t be a surprise or disappointment.

5 of us stopped for my SIL’s birthday on Wednesday. I had the Scallop special, OMG! Great sea scallops with mushrooms in a white wine sauce. SIL had the ravioli. There was also an order of spaghetti with sausage and a Manicotti. I don’t recall what the other had. Yum! We laughed, ate and drank. Good times and excellent food.

***3.5 stars*** Their homemade sauce is VERY good. The pizza was ok, maybe a little on the bland side. My calzone came out with a cold, unmelted center, which I sent back and came back out fine. It was just ok as well. Staff wasn’t exceptionally friendly.
