Stopped in for the A/C more than the ice cream I wasn’t planning on eating American branded fast foods while I’m on vacation but PR is an American territory. We got a couple of milkshakes boy were they pricey like $ 7.00 it’s also a café so you can get more than just some of their scrumptious ice cream. like pita pizza. the staff was friendly and the line was short. cool décor but standard B&J Ice cream. It took the edge off the heat for sure. next lets find that whiskey…

First thought: No way I’m eating American branded fast foods while I’m on vacation elsewhere. Second thought: I’m lying to myself. I really want ice cream. Right. Now. If you’re patient enough to wait in the semi-long line in Ben & Jerry’s the ice cream is worth the wait(and patience). I Dough, I Dough on Sugar Cone($ 5.02) — Like cookie dough? Like vanilla ice cream? Can’t go wrong with this choice. This ice cream actually has cookie dough chunks with the diameter of 5 centimeters! Crazy delicious.

They *make* your waffle bowl for you while you wait!!! Yummy. We were like, why are they making us wait for our ice cream, then we got HOT waffle bowls handed to us and we were like WHAT! :)

Super cute Ben & Jerry’s that has all the usual characteristics of the chain. This one distinguished itself with some cute cow in San Juan art. I found the ice cream selection to be a bit more limited than the ones elsewhere in the U.S. For example, no mint flavors on the day I visited. The staff was extremely friendly. They also have some café offerings if you want something to eat. I found the statute of liberty holding an ice cream cone painting in the women’s bathroom very cute. A great place to stop if you want some delicious ice cream after walking around El Murro.

We ate 3 meals here that’s how much we enjoyed this place– food, seating and staff 1) we came here for coffee and light snacks and ended up chatting for 5hrs. We had caramel latte, hummus plate– pita chips and pita bread very tasty! The fresh OJ, veggie pizza, veggie nachos all turned out to be awesome. The veggie nachos were topped with veggie burger patty bits and it was a nice twist. 2) we returned the very next day for brunch. Yes we did :) the godfather, veggie omelette and waffles were super! They served three sauces and guava jam made in PR. 3) the last meal in San Juan was again here. It didn’t seize to amaze us Please make sure to check the bill as twice they charged us twice for the same item.

Funky, fun and delicious! The best Ben & Jerry’s with the brightest personality hands down! The staff is great and it just brings a smile to your face as soon as you walk in! It’s café style so you can get more than just some of their scrumptious ice cream. Try their pita pizza and definitely the lemonade. They also had wifi so I was able to do some work while enjoy the great music and food!

This is an ice cream joint… they serve Ben & Jerry’s in Old San Juan. It is air conditioned and exactly what you would expect inside of an ice cream parlor. If you are in Old San Juan… its probably hot. Crazy, humid, island style hot. If you want ice cream, you are going to get all the regular stuff you would expect at any Ben & Jerry’s anywhere in the world. The staff speaks English and Spanish well. Word of warning… they will gouge your tourist-butt with some wicked prices. But your kids/significant other will be happy none-the-less. 8^)

Home made waffle cones made to order, great ice cream, very cool interior, and staff that went out of their way to help us make our selections. A nice place for a break from the heat of Old San Juan.

We loved the Ben & Jerry’s in Condado with the friendly and accommodating staff so we expected the same here. We wanted to order a smoothie just with fruit and juice and the lady that seemed to be in charge was fighting us about it, insisting that what they have in the menu, which includes a sorbet, is all they can offer. The other location told us we could put anything we wanted. All we wanted was fruit and juice. She insisted that it wouldn’t be the same consistency. Omg I don’t care about consistency. I just want fruit and juice in a blender. We also had to wait a long time for our ice cream while the other customers behind us already got theirs. When I asked the lady about it she simply said«we can bring that to you» what the. Not recommending this place. There are other places in old San Juan that are friendlier and more professional.

They make the waffle cone on the spot after you order your ice cream. It’s a good idea to get the waffle cup which is the same waffle just put into a cup versus rolled into a cone because they put the ice cream in right after making the waffle and it’s still really hot and melts the ice cream pretty quickly and then you have it running all over you if you don’t get the cup to contain it. Nonetheless, it’s tasty good.

If you enjoy ice cream how could you possibly go wrong with this place? There isn’t much to say about the ice cream besides the fact that they have a good selection of them and drinks and other knick knacks here to snack from. Its in a perfect spot in old san juan for that moment when you’re melting down outside and just need a quick pit stop… personally, I just stopped for a bathroom break :) The place is decorated really well with a lot of old art, frames, hand painted murals, etc… You could be in there for 20 minutes alone just staring at the walls. Keep an eye out on the doors for a message from Heisenberg(Breaking Bad) !!!

Saturday, 6:00PM. Staff: Eileen. This Ben and Jerry’s has savory items! The ones I’ve been to in the West Coast(U.S.) only serve sweet stuff. Quickie: +B&J’s ice cream = SOGOOD +Fresh waffles +Clean +Good service +Nice décor And then??? Wish the ones in the U.S. were like this joint.

Yes. The art-nouveau décor, the smell of sugar in the air and a rockin’ belgian waffle. That sums up my experience here. Ben & Jerry’s in San Juan makes the Vermont location look like crap. That smell of sugar? Yeah, it’s the waffle cone maker. YESYOUREADTHATCORRECTLY. You want ice cream in a waffle cone? They make that waffle cone right in front of you so you have a delicious, warm waffle cone with your AmeriCone Dream. You hungry? Well, Ben & Jerry’s in Puerto Rico are geniuses and serve you food too. Get the Belgian Waffle. Giant waffle with strawberries and blueberries, and add Nutella. Just do it.

Not exactly a Puerto Rican specialty, but a welcome ice cream break close to our hotel, the Cathedral and El Batey«dive» bar. We tucked in and sampled their triple caramel waffle cone in honor of the local sugar industry. Quirky little place that could be found anywhere, but a nice treat here too.

You will appreciate Ben & Jerry after you walk uphill in the sun, feeling dehydrated and tired. They have a lot of flavors and nice mango sorbet and homemade waffle cones. The ice cream shop is owned by a previous Olympics Medalist in Gymnastics. It is very chill and a lot of tourists stop by for a break before they head to the top of the hill.

Take a typical Ben & Jerry’s, cross-breed it with an Urban Outfitters, and find a former Olympic medalist who’s met President(s), Nelson Mandela and Michael Jordan to run it. Oh, and add food. Like ACTUAL food, not ice cream.
