I think that Anna T.‘s simile is an accurate description of how I felt once I entered Blizz Yogurt. I, too, am from New England, and happened upon Blizz Yogurt after making the trek from my Condado lodging by foot. Looking at the route in a map emboldened me and I started out just fine, with bf in tow. Learn from my mistake, IF you are going to take this hike, wear comfortable shoes. I was wearing sandals and I cursed my decision about 1⁄3 of the way in. Also, if you go while there is daylight, it’s all good. But you will go through certain neighborhoods that may be best left to the locals once the sun has set. As soon as I saw that there was a froyo place at the edge of Viejo San Juan, I dragged bf in. We were both sweating profusely and needed to use the bathroom. What better place than this one to handle those two things? Also, with those damn sandals, I needed to plop my butt down somewhere. As he was using the facilities, I approached the counter and looked over the flavors. This place is not self-serve and the flavor options are pretty limited. I got the passion fruit one and topped it with strawberries, peaches, and pineapples. There was definitely an original flavor and maybe one or two other ones? Being in such a touristy spot, the price was higher than I normally pay for froyo. The froyo itself wasn’t the best ever, but it wasn’t slushy, was tart as my bf likes, had fresh fruit, and the portion was not skimpy. Plus, my experience here was pretty awesome, as I got some much-needed rest and got to cool out after walking in the hot Caribbean sun for more than an hour. Beside another couple there, we were the only patrons. There are plenty of seats, so if you walk by and are dying from the heat, just stop in and chow down on a little San Juan froyo.

When exploring old San Juan on a hot humid day… mis amigos, this is the light at the end of the tunnel. I’m from New England, so finding a place like this is like crawling into an igloo after a voyage through the desert. Similar to Pinkberry. (bright clean designs, tart froyos and of course the employee does all the scoopin’)

Nice place to grab a FroYo treat while walking around Old San Juan. The toppings are key!

Busy place with subpar yogurt We waited about 45 minutes to get our yogurt. The yogurt options at this place were terrible. I tried each flavor and none of them were really appealing to me. After the long wait, I settled on the one that was the best and got some good toppings on it. It was also quite pricey. Overall, this place is nothing compared to the places in the continental US.

Nice little yogurt shop in downtown Old San Juan. It definitely hit the spot after a day wandering around the town.

Great place to cool off after visiting Castillo San Cristobal. I enjoyed the coconut yogurt and it was nice they had fresh fruit toppings along with the candy/cookies. We enjoyed it while sitting inside, my guess is it would melt fairly quickly if you took it outside.

I admit the add ons were cool such as fruit, candy bar pieces, even captain crunch … but they need more frozen yogurt options. I found the plain regular flavor to be bland(thank god the add– ons helped!). You should go try the new yogurt place at Plaza de Armas right next to the subway– its called Joybee and i’m in love with it !!

i visited PR in August and stumbled upon Blizz Yogurt. I loved it, yes they only have 3 or 4 yogurt favors. I went with the passion fruit. It was great a little tangy which i love. They had enough toppings and its cheaper than Pinkberry. Yes I would recommend this to anyone visiting PR.

I enjoyed the yogurt here. I agree with the other reviews that it was nice that the flavor options are limited. The days I went they had plain, coconut, passion fruit and tamarind. The yogurt was tangy and tasty. I thought a small was a pretty large amount of yogurt and felt satisfied after eating it. I liked all the topping choices that they had: cocoa pebbles, fruity pebbles, oreos, chips ahoy, peanut mns, strawberries, pineapple, coconut, etc. Both times I got coconut with dark chocolate flakes – I ate mine inside because of other reviews stating how it melted quickly. In their cold seating area, I didn’t come across that problem. It’s no piragua, but it did the trick!

This is your basic yogurt shop – a chain, nothing special. We got in line and the single employee behind the counter seemed uninterested in moving it at all, so we left after a few minutes. It also smelled like a bathroom.

Another example of a place that focuses on a small menu and then does it really well. This little watering hole in the middle of a hot, blazing sunny day will cool you down in a heartbeat. And when you’re body is on overheat and your brain is a bit numb, luckily you don’t have to make a big decision here. The yogurt comes in 3 flavors – original(like vanilla), guava and pineapple. Then you choose a size – s, m or l. 1 topping with the small and 3 toppings for m and l. I got the medium guava with fruity pebbles, blueberries and snickers. I know, a weird combo but it was pretty damn delicious. I knock off a star because the toppings were kinda skimpy – nothing like the pictures that other Unilocalers have posted. While we were there someone actually went up to ask for more toppings, which we noticed that the waitress gladly did. Oh and make sure to keep hydrated out there… the bottled water is only $ 1.

I’m from CA where frozen yogurt is all the rave, and when I moved here there wasn’t any froyo. FINALLY there is one! This place is the closest thing to what Im used to. They have large portions and are generous with toppings. They have only fruity flavors, like guava, parcha and their original. $ 5 for a regular with 3 toppings. Good environment and a nice place to stop in on on a hot day.

Although I cannot find any information for this location online, if you are in Old San Juan, be sure to stop by Blizz Frozen Yogurt. It’s an open and airy modern yogurt store that only has four flavors, but they do not skimp on the toppings! A refreshing treat to a lovely visit.
