Booked a table here after hearing a lot of good things about the place. Me, my gf and my parents, who visited us for the weekend, First of all, the restaurant is a hundred times cozier than it looks like on the pictures. I went with one of the set three course menus. Started off with the bleak roe which was beautifully accompanied by cauliflower, sour cream, fried potato, red onion and dill. Needless to say, it was great. It’s hard not to succeed with bleek roe. For the main course I went with the saithe. And man, this was a dissapointment. The fish itself was great, but the rest of the dish was really nothing special. Turnip, celery, a tomato sauce and langoustines that they’d absolutely destroyed. They were just mash. I told the waiter about the over cooked langoustines and he offered us two desserts as compensation which we gladly accepted. The dessert was a rhubarb compote with merengue, oat crumble and a goats yoghurt sherbet. This was a great dish to finish of the meal. Fresh and beautifully composed.

One of the first places I ever got food poisoning at. Dreadful staff and for some reason I always get sticked at the hidden away tables. Makes me feel like an ogre.

Like the advertising claims, it’s a good place for a casual dinner. Not a huge menu but, then again you can only eat one starter, one main course, and one dessert anyways. I appreciated the local in-season produce, Had the caviar and deep-fried potato cake, the prime rib and the fruit/sorbet/créme brule dessert with some awesome wine pairings. Didn’t need my knife for the beef as it just fell apart under the fork and melted into the anchovy laced gravy. Orgiastic! Extra points to the server for 1) pouring the preliminary wine for tasting for both my female colleague and my own(male) self(Yay, gender equality!) and for 2) deviating from the recommended wine pairing for the dessert to bring out a really different semi-sweet Chenin Blanc from the Loire region. Little bit of a gamble on that dessert wine but it really paid off. I’d definitely go back again. Partly to taste some of what I saw was on the wine list.

This review is for the bar section only, i never have had dinner here. They have a super nice outdoor section, not much to view as it is located in a street junction that isn’t very busy. But I like the way it is built and furnished. There are tables of different sizes and not only a few large tables with lots of chairs as it is at most outdoor sections. Also it is not all-glassed which means it is airy but also impossible to seat closest to the street. We were lucky enough to get under roof just before a hard rain weather suddenly appeared. It was really nice sitting there watching the rain. The staff is super nice! Super! Unfortunately this isn’t really the place if you are into good draught beer since they only have three different lagers on tap. If you are looking for ales there are bottles. I guess this is a place for wine and cocktails! They accept AMEX.

Great value 3 course meal for 30EUR, the bar manager is the best i town and does divine drinks. I can really recommend you do try one cocktail as apertif. Its truly a Bib Gourmand place. If you like more upscale try Kock och Vin, gothenburgs best restaurant(run by the same Chef) I visit every time im back in gothenburg
