SPAR Hotel Gårda

I chose the SPAR Hotel Gårda for our stay in Göteborg as the price wasn’t too bad (we paid about $ 125 a night, and this included breakfast), it looked quite nice from the photos on the website, and it was a fairly central location – not too far from Central Station. While the hotel was clean, quiet, and perfectly adequate, it didn’t wow me in reality as much as it did on the website. Despite this, we had a pleasant stay, and the staff were friendly and helpful.
This definitely isn’t a fancy hotel, nor is it in a pretty part of town, but it’s functional, near transit, not terribly expensive, and despite being right beside an ugly highway, we didn’t have any problems with traffic noise. No complaints.
