I love going to art galleries, but often feel overwhelmed. Especially if I have to pay an entrance fee and feel the pressure to SEEALLTHETHINGS. The Malmo Konstall is one of the largest modern art exhibition spaces in Europe. I went as part of Malmo Nordic 2013 to see«24 Spaces — A Cacophony», which featured quite a few non-commercial artists. The exhibition itself was great, but I also really enjoyed the exhibition space spread out over one sprawling floor. Also notable: a totally respectable English book selection in the store and a charming lunch spot /outdoor café. The vibe is relaxed; you can take your time or whizz through things, both models without judgment. Just how I like to take in my dose of art. Unilocal note: a lot of construction around the Konsthall currently(summer 2013) but be persistent! It’s harder to see the signage, but worth the persistent effort.
