This store is like the swiss version of whole foods. The only problem is, you can hardly walk out of there without spending over 200 Francs. However, the quality is quite good. If you have a family, make sure you don’t go over the CHF500 line or go to Coop across the street, which you spend usually 150 – 200CHF. The quality is probably not as «Franzy Dansy«as Globus but its most likely the same quality but Globus probably Exaggerates it. But still a good store!

Globus is a high-end department store with two levels of gourmet grocery. It reminds of the Food Emporium in New York. I sampled the tart and sweet red currants, and HKB bought a selection of chocolates here the last time he visited Basel. There is a bistro on the fourth floor and a self-serve cafeteria on the fifth floor.
