I visited Goji this noon and I am quite disappointed. The price-​performance is very bad, our party of two had to wait a long time for our lunch menu and the food was not hot but hardly lukewarm. Food taste was ok but not as good as described by others here on Unilocal.It’s a pity, because I used to like the location… not coming back.

Food for the soul… feast for the eyes… in September 2015 the sunset view from the terrace across the Rhein was mesmerizing. The chef skillfully executed the unique menu. Duck to die for, cold rolled spicy Pork Belly, and a mango dessert… Proprietress Joyce He, brings it all together on the river at, «Goji».

Very happy to see a great Chinese option open in Basel. The food is excellent, the staff are polite and attentive (and all seem to speak great English), and the location is killer.
We were impressed by the crispy duck, drunken chicken, and spare ribs. Yes, it was a meat-​tastic dinner, although they have other options for vegan /​vegetarian folks.

I went to Goji for a business lunch last week, based on a recommendation from a client in Basel. First, let me say that the location is absolutely fantastic! We sat outside and had a great view of the Rhine.
The hostess told us about the 2 options available: a quick 3-​course lunch menu, or modern-​style Chinese tapas. We opted for the second option, and shared 5 tapas for 3 people, in addition to a bowl of fried rice. The idea was to save room for dessert, and I am glad that we did! Everything that we ate was excellent, but my favorite dish was the sea bass. It was moist and cooked to perfection. We spent ~40 CHF per person (with drinks), which I thought was great value for the experience and the food quality.
I will definitely be back there next time I am in Basel!
