This is the theatre where my companion and I watched a movie last Saturday. This theatre offers two types of movies: ones that are dubbed in German, and ones that are shown in the original language, but dubbed in German and French. We watched The Place Beyond the Pines, and I think it was just recently released, but there were barely anyone in the cinema. I think there were only 6 people in total. That was awesome. There are seat reservations, but I suppose it doesn’t matter, eh? Signage was a little weak; we were a little bit confused whether the theatre actually showed the film the Internet website claimed they did. Anyway, instead of buying our tickets from the live person behind the counter, it was easier for us to buy the tickets from the automated vending machine. It’s a little pricey; we paid 38CHF for 2 adult tickets. But then again, it’s Pathe, and not your neighborhood indie theatre.

Word to the wise: google what the ticket price is before going to the theater. While I recognize that Switzerland is very expensive, I was still shocked by the ticket prices: $ 43USD(38CHF) for 2 movie tickets. And what do you get for $ 43? Small, dirty(had to clean off chairs ourselves) theater with assigned seating. Me thinks not.
