Restaurant le Beausite

Le restaurant le plus prétentieux de Fribourg où les prix né reflètent pas toujours la qualité! Si les produits frais de la mer sont son atout, et que leur préparation est trop souvent auto-​satisfaisante, les autres mets de brasserie sont sur-​évalués!
Service lent et peu sympathique!
Cela est dommage, car la brasserie (le local donc) est magnifique…

We were in Fribourg (pretty little French Suisse town, by the way) for a work event and just so happened to stop in at the Brasserie for lunch. Great idea. The place made me ache for Paris; completely decked out in original Art Deco stylings and perfect corner location.
The food was amazing bistro fare. I had the entrecôte with frites and a pea mousse. My colleagues had braised veal cheeks, a grilled fish platter and a HUGE crockpot of Coq au Vin (honestly, the garçon just never stopped dishing it out). Everything looked so amazing, I’m not sure who won out on best dish.
I added a crisp glass of Sauv Blanc and we all rounded it out with espressos, too full to sample from the dessert menu — everyone was so happy with their meals.
What a wonderful place to share a meal. It really pulled at my heart strings and made me start searching for flights to Paris when I got home. Be forewarned that the prices are quite high (hey, it’s Switzerland) but you certainly get what you pay for.

Cela faisait très longtemps que je voulais tester cette brasserie à la déco 1900 et dont la carte vraiment très brasserie me tentait. Et je n’ai pas été déçu! Un vrai régal, de l’entrée au dessert fait maison (c’est rare) en passant par le vin! Un petit bémol, le service assez lent et l’addition très chargée (un poisson à 55.-).
Idéal néanmoins pour un repas entre amis ou en famille.

Excellent service et excellente qualité. Je le recommande fortement.
