Situated close to the Mont-​Blanc Bridge, the Hotel Bristol is among the buildings composing the Mont-​Blanc Square, the prestigious new city district built in 1851 on the former fortifications of Geneva’s old town.

Thanks to the efforts of the Lepin family, owners of the Roth’s pension during almost three quarters of the 19^th century, it became the Bristol in 1896 and one of the best hotels in Geneva.

In 1972, the Lepin Family sold the Hotel Bristol to the Count Guy de Jacquelot-​du-​Boisrouvray. In 1976 the Count handed the management of the hotel over to the SEGH (Société d’Exploitation et de Gestion Hotelière).

At his death, his daughter, the Countess Albina du Boisrouvray, founder of the «Association François Xavier Bagnoud», became the chairman of the board of directors of the SEGH.

From 1981 on, very important transformations were accomplished. The SEGH bought the ad-​joining building allowing to add 30 new bedrooms, a piano bar and a restaurant which has become over the years
