Leur cordon bleu de poulet n’est pas mauvais. Servi avec des frites quelconques et saupoudré de 3 minuscules feuilles de salade, je déplore l’absence de légumes dans l’assiette.

Delicious! We each had the cheese fondue but should have ordered for one and shared and ordered another dish and shared it too as it was a lot if fondue! Delicious and very good swiss wines too We sat on one of the two outdoor patios It was crowded even for a Sunday nite but its a large place and we were seated immediately. Very close to Geneva train station Big menu included many traditional fondue choices and racalette and a whole page of pizzas

I cannot stress this point enough: as a tourist, you should avoid this restaurant like Ebola. The management here is dishonest, admits that they’re dishonest, and has no problem with charging you for food without your consent. Case in point, my brother and I came here one night and explicitly ordered *one* pot of fondue to share. I confirmed this order with the server and so know that there was no misunderstanding. However — and these words come straight from the manager himself — they decided that one pot of fondue wasn’t enough for us and so changed our order to two pots. Of course this very generous gift came at the price of over twenty extra CHF — very expensive by student standards — and when I confronted the manager(in French) and threatened to go to Unilocal he refunded me the price of a beer, which cost one-third what the pot of fondue cost. At least one other reviewer has complained about the same thing, so it’s clear that Au Petit Chalet has a calculated policy of stealing from its customers. Why would you want to risk such a thing happening to you, especially when there’s better(and less expensive) fondue at the bar across from the train station?

DON’T go here!!! The waiter overcharged us, saying we ordered fondue for two people(lies! my french is at least good enough to say at the very least ‘fondue for 1′!!!). My mother only ate a plate of chips, he even saw all this throughout the half hour we were there(we only went in cos I wanted to try fondue) and still overcharged us… instead of 23… charged us 46!!! I had one basket of bread and one pot of fondue(that I prob ate 10% of it all because it did not taste good). 46!!! And on top of this, the waiter made a big scene about it at our table in front of all the other diners, he was rude. And he refused to change the bill. NIGHTMARE! Ruined our day. Not a friendly place for tourists.

It was not what we expected. When you enter the restaurant you will be smacked by the pungent scent of cheese! But after about 5min you won’t even notice it. We ordered the escargot and Cheese with Bacon fondue. We also came for the Raclette but was told they do not have it that day. We ordered 6 pc of escargot and received only 5! My husband found an empty shell. The presentation was also messy with a slight burnt on edge of the shell. Our cheese with bacon fondue looked DELISH. However we shortly realized that they drowned the cheese in wine. It tasted as if they took half a bottle of wine and dropped a few cubes of cheese. It was too expensive and was not impress!

My perfect score would be 4.5 stars, but as we don’t give halfs, I need to give 4 stars. Everything we tried was very tasty. Fondue, Raclette(one would be enough for 2 people), Melon con Jamon & Porto(very sweet and high quality ham) and crème brule were fantastic! Freshly made, high quality ingredients and nicely served. So the food is definitely a strong side of Chalet :) Service was excellent, very friendly and extremely fast. We were also advised about very good wine, that fit all the courses very well. Nice outdoor seating at quiet street was perfect for warm summer night. So even though I was little skeptical at the beginning, I give very high notes! Recommend to go there, I will happily be back and taste more things and highly recommend to visit this place once you are in town. Pricing was also acceptable.
