Alors pour s’encanailler et boire des bières et rencontrer du monde c’est une bonne adresse ! Pour les fumeurs y a toujours la terrasse et dedans c’est packed les week-ends et la bière coule à flots! Etudiants, avocats, politiciens, sportifs, etc. Au masculin comme au féminin.

This place is awesome. I can only review drinks since we didn’t eat, but drinking outside on a gorgeous night in Switzerland is A-OK with me.
Bartenders are nice and cocktails are good. Each time we went up the bar for another round we were helped by a different bartender who charged us a different price every time for cocktails. Not sure why but it ended up being pretty funny to compare the costs after each round (of course it became funnier as we drank more).

One of my favorite bars in the world. Great beer and wine selection, and genuinely friendly bartenders. Lots of seating-really fun to come here with a large group of friends. There is a pleasant outdoor area too with twinkle lights and a nice view of the Lausanne cathedral.
I personally come here for the 3 Franc wine and herbed potato appetizer. It’s 8 francs, but ridiculously delicious, and large enough to share with 2 or 3 friends. Located right in the middle of the city center, next to the metro. If you are in Lausanne, you must come here.

As a North American, I can’t say anything good about the prices, but this place is full and lively. You can order drinks and their food is also quite good. I had the wings and even though they were small, they came with two dipping sauces and was enough for me. It is conveniently located near the Lausanne Cathedral, and the terrace provides a fantastic view of the city. Definitely come here with a group of friends. You’ll have a great time!

The Great Escape is every Ex-pat’s dream. This bar is a nice little pub in the heart of the city that is busy every night of the week. The staff is awesome and works super hard to keep a beverage in everyone’s hand.
Thumbs Up: staff, drink selection, greatest place to watch rugby and soccer
Thumbs down: I hope you like standing room only in the winter — it is like sardines packed on most nights. Food is ok — some things are good (wings and chips) and some things are ok (burgers)
But the atmosphere is awesome and it is worth a visit. People will always speak English too, so if you aren’t quite an expert in French, this is always a good spot.

Es hat viele verschiedene Biersorten zur Auswahl.
Das Interieur ist schön mit alten sbgegriffenen Holzmöbel. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

J’ai découvert ce bar lors d’une visite à Lausanne et je me suis éclatée les papilles ! Les burgers sont très bons et originaux, l’ambiance et le cadre super sympa.
Selon moi, le Great Escape est une étape indispensable lors d’un passage à Lausanne, et je né manqué pas de m’y rendre perso ! =D

Le bar rock par excellence à Lausanne. Les soirées sont animées avec de la bière qui coule à flot. Une ambiance unique, très anglo saxonne avec un staff sympa. Petit bémol, la réputation des hamburgers est devenue un brin surfaite. En revanche à midi, le plat du jour est d’un rapport qualité-prix exceptionnel.

Great bar, especially in summer !
This is actually more sportbar. But it doens’t look like that. In the summer you have the whole field in front of the bar who is getting crowded. The atmosphere is so nice, relax and great. In summer they do a lot of activities. Sometimes some BBQ, small concerts, etc.
The food is great, really. I love the burgers, the patatos, etc. The staff is a bit alternative (typical people from lausanne) but very friendly. You have to order your food at the bar and you get a vibrating machine with you. $
The interior is very alternative, what makes it authentic.
Just pay attention, when there is a game on, the bar is full.
