Le Débarcadère

Two-​star food, three-​star service and five-​star views! People come here to have a good time and to enjoy life at the water’s edge in the charming little community of Saint-​Sulpice. If you join them, you’re unlikely to regret your decision.
I was at Le Débarcadère for over three hours recently: a large group of us had a fine evening of discussion, drink and eating. Our wines were the Dézaley Chemin de Fer Grand Cru 2012 Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée Lavaux (see
) and a Gigondas whose details I cannot recall. The Dézaley was a great pleasure, but the Gigondas was really forgettable, at least in my humble opinion.
In order to have appropriate exposure to the two wines, I ordered a rouget-​based salad as a starter (see photo) and a braised lamb shank (souris d’agneau) as my main dish. I thought that the salad was pretty successful as a culinary composition. The souris was no great shakes: the meat was dry and tasteless, and the accompanying vegetables (diced zucchini, carrots and other items) had nothing special going for them.
Our group ordered lots of desserts, but I refrained from dessert contact. On the other hand, my fellow diners seemed pleased with what came their way; we all left in good spirits.

Je peux également recommandé la promenade Morges ou Préverenges — Saint-​Sulpice au bord du lac avant de s’offrir un délicieux repas dans ce restaurant. Durée des promenades: environ 1h15 partant de Morges et 45 minutes partant de Préverenges.
