Centre Thermal d’Yverdon

The Swiss have a way of making what could have been a 5 star experience a 3 star one. The website has all the typical info of prices, packages, address, etc. but I couldn’t find details. I arrived with as much «stuff» as I thought I would need, toiletries, figuring I could shower after, blow dryer just in case they didnt have one, etc… well here goes my review. Pay and get a little electronic bracelet that allows you to enter what you have paid for. In addition, it allows you to have a locker and lock up your stuff. Silly me, I figured I could rent a towel there however, there was no towel in sight, so lesson learned. Everyone is required to shower before entering and the pool is nice, warm, bubbly, wasn’t crowded (I was there on a Tuesday)…we also entered the Japanese bath which was even warmer and even less crowded. Also near there is another whirlpool, also outside, probably just as warm but I didnt try it out. Nor did I try out the sauna since some guy walked out completely nude and it was enough of s shock to me that I didnt need to see what was waiting inside the sauna. My other issue is that there is no proper shower to get naked and shower in afterwards. After this I would have liked to, however all I could do was wash my hair in the communal shower in my bathing suit… the hair dyer I brought, French plug. forgot the Swiss adapter so I had to use their dryers… I have felt hand dryers stronger than these so it took a while to dry my hair and finally get out. I will try some other thermal spas before I go back to this one, however, if I go back I will be more prepared. Towels, adapter…

Pour un bon moment de détente, et encore plus à l’étage à l’espace détente. Centre assez petit mais idéal pour né pas faire trop de kilomètres en séjournant à Yverdon

Great place when the outside weather is not so great and you need to spend 3 great hours in a hot area. 3 swimming pool with temperatures from 28 to 34oC. Kids love to come here and enjoy the diversity of areas.
No food inside, little café outside with simple but good food. Fruits juices are fresh from the centrifugeuse. But you will find the usual fries
It is a great experience, everything is well organised and very clean. Special area for massage and special relaxation with extra cost. Never tested.

Schönes Thermalbad. Toller Wellnessbereich auf dem Dach für den sich der Zuschlag lohnt!
Auch ein Besuch der Altstadt Yverdon lohnt sich!

Einen halben Kilometer von der schönen, kleinen Altstadt von Yverdon entfernt, befindet sich die Therme dieser «Bäderstadt» (schon die Römer fanden die Lage am Ende des Neuenburgersees sehr angenehm).
Sehr freundliches Personal (sprechen als Romands lieber Hochdeutsch als Schweizerdeutsch) an der Kasse. Die Aussen– und Innenbecken sind ok, aber insgesamt ist der Baustil nicht mehr zeitgemäss.
Der für eine Therme kleine Wellnessbereich ist nur über ein zugiges Treppenhaus im zweiten Stock zu erreichen und extra zu bezahlen. Der Whirlpool bietet einen sonnigen Blick auf die Jurahöhen. Unter der Woche scheint es hier ruhig zu sein. Seltsam war es Gäste mit Badehose in der Sauna anzutreffen…
