Ristorante Seilerhaus Molino

Decent Italian food in the middle of town. Easy to find and a ton of outdoor seating. Waiters are attentive and food was super fast to come out. We got a calabrese pizza and Penne A’rrabiata. Good size portions and decent food. Around 25chf per person, which ain’t bad for Zermatt.

We stopped here as we were leaving Zermatt for a couple of pizzas before we left the city. We had a long train ride, so it was just the perfect spot to grab a snack and get on the train.
We ordered a vegetarian and a margarita pizza. The veggie wasn’t the best, but the margarita was a great hit. I highly would recommend it. Also, don’t forget to ask for extra crushed red peppers. They didn’t give me enough the first time.
But all in all a great, quick experience. If you’re planning a train ride around lunch or dinner, stop by here to pick up a pizza and also make a quick run to Migros down the street.

I normally go to Grampis when I am in Zermatt and looking for Italian food but thought I would give Mollina’s a try.
It has a large outside seating area which was perfect for the warm sunny evening.
It was pretty busy with about 85% of seats occupied outside but we felt invisible to the staff who wandered past us as we waited to be seated. If you have a lot of seats you need some staff — it’s pretty logical right?
Anyhow, I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken rather than a pizza and it cost about the same but it was the worst salad I have ever been served. 25chf I think it was
The lettuce was limp and tired and had been sat in the dressing in the fridge for quite some time. There was a little bit of dried, chewy chicken on top and some tough bread. Terrible, terrible
Skipped desert. I had a water and glass of wine. 40chf
Never again!

Just stopped in here for desert after filling up with fondue at Restaurant du pont. The chill atmosphere is marvelously improved by ceiling heat lamps. Watch locals and tourists stride by from the lounge couches, sipping a cognac and diving into an ice cream. Not sure for dinner, but dessert, cognac and atmosphere are all at least ⁴⁄₅ stars

Seems to be authentic Italian. Better than several places in Italy we tried. For Zermatt the prices are reasonable. We ordered a pizza and pasta, both very good. Appetizer of peppers in olive oil surprisingly good. Service was reasonably attentive and cheerful.
Saw other «Molino» restaurants during our travels, so it’s actually a chain. But a pretty good chain, I thought. I prefer little mom & pop places when traveling (on the perhaps-​mistaken notion that they are more authentic). But I was happy with the food and service here.

A typical tourist trap with very bad service. With all of the other places nearby why bother? We didn’t and left.

Grampi’s was fully booked and they recommended Molino’s for pizza. I ordered the Pizza Prosciutto and a cup of hot tea. The pizza was decent, they didn’t cut my pizza though so I had to cut it myself. I’m very particular with pizza and this pizza was just ok. I was hoping it would be a bit better b/​c the table next to mine had a yummier looking pie. Not sure which pizza they ordered. It had small pieces of mozzarella.
I also ordered the chocolate cake for dessert and it was gooey and warm. Perfect for the cold weather. I’d come back here again to try the pasta dishes when I am back in Zermatt again.

Went to this place with a party of 5. The pizza and pasta were delicious. Food came out quickly and server was friendly and hospitable. Reasonable prices.

The menu was vegetarian friendly & the service knew which items we could eat as we avoid eggs as well. We ate here twice & found the food to be very good & reasonably priced for Zermatt. We had risottos both times — the bianco once & the giardiniera with vegetables, as well as panna cotta for dessert. The food came out in a reasonable time. The location was on the main street as well.

Der Service ist unterirdisch. Nach 45 Minuten hatten wir noch nicht mal die Vorspeise auf dem Tisch.
