Came in on a Saturday afternoon ordered burrito, nachos and salsa, and a fritz cola. Was charged 18.30chf only to be told had I specifically said Berkley Burrito Menu, I would have only had to pay 14.90. Mind you this was told BEFORE I paid. The cashier stated he couldn’t not undo the register to price correct. My hunger got the better of me so I sucked it up and paid but now I will never return to this place or recommend. Enjoy the 3.40chf Burrito Brothers as that is what it just cost you to lose a customer.

Good price, good food. Stumbled on it since everything was closed! Happy we found it though! Delicious!

Finally I find some decent Mexican in zurich even if it is only in the form of a burrito. It’s a little«hole in the wall»(there are a few benches and tables inside and outside) and the 4 tram stops right outside of it, how convenient! I’ve tried almost all the burritos and I love them all. I wish they would toast the outside after they stuff the burrito especially to prevent it from getting soggy, but a girl can’t have it all. The service is always very quick and friendly and I’ve been here for lunch and for dinner and usually there isn’t a line. There is only one veggie option which I haven’t tried. The meat options are all great but as the chicken in this country is such good quality and juicy, I recommend the poulet options. The place is somewhat SF themed, and yes, the burritos in SF are awesome, but other than the names, there’s no resemblance to northern California. They also offer lots of different Tabasco options(and Cholula!!) which I LOVE and appreciate. If you want a quick delicious meal, this place is reliable. It’s nothing fancy but the flavor is there.

We had a coupon and it’s new, so we came to taste it. We ordered and waited, and waited some more– took forever to make it! The place is TINY, so we sat outside, but the smokers ruined my meal(and my lungs’ inside)! The burrito was OK: a bit bland and rice-heavy, and it was just white rice– no spices or flavors, not any! So for a great burrito, I wouldn’t come here again. Instead, I’ll go to La Taqueria– that’s one I’d recommend!

Great local spot in Zurich. This place is like a slightly hipper version of Chipotle in the U.S. Would recommend.

I had to be in the city today so I intentionally made a run to Burrito Brothers before my appointment. The first thing I noticed was that it was about 40 C inside… OUCH! and there was literally a line out the door at 13:00. Bizarre! The people at the front of the line seemed to be ordering massive amounts of food to go so due to the speed of the kitchen, the line dwindled quickly. The menu is pretty extensive and VERY descriptive. I did enjoy all the San Francisco references in all the food names. I went for the Pier 39 which seemed remarkably odd to say in German. Anyway, the gal at the register was quite nice and helpful but visibly bored. I placed my order, found a spot to sit an waited for my food. The food came out quite quickly and off I went. I have to admit, the meat(pork in this case) was cooked very well and it made me quite happy. The fact that they only carry Fitz drinks I found a tad odd but their ‘cola’ was better than a lot of knockoffs that I’ve had. I never did figure out what comes with a ‘Menu’ vs. just ordering a Burrito. In all the menu reading I did, I never found the explanation. Overall, I was quite pleased and I’ll definitely be back. It’d be great if they could put a few fans inside for those of us who don’t die when faced with blowing air or a draft. They have very limited outside space but that’s due to their location. They’ve done a lot with the space they have.

i think my hopes were too high coming here. i was just too excited about the possibility of maybe actually finding decent Mexican food in Zurich that isn’t $ 30 for limp tacos. the vegetarian burrito was just okay — kind of bland. nothing wrong but nothing really right either. the salsa was decent and fresh. i think they’d just opened when i went, and were a little overwhelmed. i’ll give it another try before i give up entirely, but i’m not exactly dying to go back.

I wanted to venture out and get something different to eat that didn’t include so much cheese and I found this restaurant on Unilocal.It was a half a mile from my hotel so I walked to it. It’s a nice little spot, easy to find and the food is really good. The young lady also spoke English which helped me to order. The price is very reasonable especially for dessert! The servings are large so I had to have more than half of it wrapped up to go.

Food is AWESOME. Flavors are exactly what I think of when I crave that authentic mexican burrito. Ingredients are fresh and every bite full of flavor. Their salsa is the perfect blend of zesty cool flavors. The food is prepared fast; no long waits. They never mess up an order. This place is my and my husband’s favorite go-to spot in Zurich. Wasn’t crowded when we went around 1:30/2pm on a Saturday, but there was a steady stream of customers coming and going even still. Highly recommend the Golden Gate Chicken burrito or the cheese quesadilla(add chicken). My toddler loves the quesadilla too. Oh, and the Fritz drinks are so refreshing(Melon is so so nice on a hot summer day!) Too busy eating to take pix.

So far, this is my favorite burrito place in Zurich. This location is an expansion of the original one in Lausanne. The burritos and their names are San Francisco inspired and have a lot of the flavors you’d typically find in California(e.g. carnitas). Once out of two times I’ve been there, the burritos were very good. So I think the quality depends on who’s making your burrito. One tiny disappointment is that they don’t offer avocado to be an additional ingredient for the burritos. They only use avocado for their guacamoles. When I asked them if they could make an exception and add some avocado to our burritos, my request was met with a look of confusion. So even though the staff is trained to make a pretty decent California style burrito, one must wonder if they’ve actually had one themselves.

Wanted a small snack in the afternoon. Having heard good things about their shop in Lausanne I wanted to try the Zurich one. Well, I did not need much dinner later, this burritos are quite well packed. And they were tasty! I will be back.

Burrito Brothers is a nice spot located very close to Hardbrücke Station, right between a Kebab place and an irish pub(Big Ben). We were there on a weekend at around 11 and there were still a few people eating, but it wasn’t crowdy. The names of the Burritos are all based on locations in the Bay Area,(like Berkeley Burrito), which was pretty cool. Having lived in the Bay Area myself for a few years I have been spoilt with the best Mexican food there is, and have been disappointed numerous times in other countries that even try to emulate that, I didn’t have any high hopes. We both got a student menu meal for 13.90, which consisted of the standard chicken burrito, a small batch of nachos and a drink. Not a bad deal in Zurich! The food was ready in about 2 minutes and the staff was friendly. The burrito was good and surprisingly genuine. Good portion as well. Definitely try this place out if you don’t feel like getting a Kebab next door(;

I walked into the space and it was literally 97 degrees! Granted, on a summer day. However, it was SO hot and STAGNANT I almost could not bare to wait for the 2 people in front of me. Can only imagine the beads of sweat on all the employees racing off their chins onto your food! BUYANAIR-CONDITIONER…at LEAST for your employees, if nothing else. Could not read their menu with its«clever» script font, size and placement… hire a graphic designer? Tortilla chips taste like they were bought at a liquor store in California… never mind the mountains of salt on these bad boys. Speaking of mountains of salt, try a burrito! Lastly, a really great way to get people to not eat here is to provide Eco-friendly«knife» and«fork» made of fragile wood! You couldn’t cut through warm butter with one of those things, let alone a tortilla! My «fork» broke right away. BUYSILVERWAREANDWASH A DISH… that’s how you save the environment! I give them 2 stars… one for advertising burritos and 2 for actually having them.

i think it’s a good deal to have burrito at Britto brothers. It’s almost a bargain. Portion is quite generous and it is flavorful as most American burritos. Plenty of meat and all ingredients are mixed well. I asked for spicy sauce and it has a kick without burning feeling. Friendly service. Small space with limited seatings abut a few outdoor tables are available in summer. Margaritas are around 10CHF! Not bad at all.

Guacamole, kosten extra. Aber alles in allem: Lecker!

Californian Style — Mexican Kitchen.
