Desperately trying to find a take-​out place open on a Sunday night and wanting to try the Hot Pot because of the good reviews, we ended up here just before closing.
Very friendly service and the fact that they started cooking again after they had already cleaned the stove and were about to close up for the night definitely deserves at least four stars.
The food itself was fine but nothing extraordinary. My carnivore friends had beef with bamboo shoots and mushrooms (underwhelming) and chicken with satay sauce (good). Several vegetarian options, so that’s a plus. I had tofu with vegetables, which was fine but a bit boring. The rice was microwaved but that was our own fault for arriving so late.
Not my favorite Asian restaurant in Zurich so far but I’d go back to try a different dish.

great food at reasonable prices: 60 CHF for 2 persons (appetizers, main courses and beer). Prices range from 16 — 25 for main dishes, 5 — 15 for appetizers. There are also sweets but we couldn’t eat anymore so we didn’t order.
Simple interiors but cozy place, with excellent service: quick, smiling and extremely polite. Plus, it was open during a Sunday afternoon.
There are also outdoor seatings but the street in under construction now.

«Small Place, Great Taiwan-​Chinese Cuisine»
Few tables, lovely food, every dish freshly prepared. Friendly and mindful service. Nice and quiet eat in, famous and busy take out. Not downtown but close and easy with pub trans (Tram 9⁄14 Goldbrunnenplatz). Good place to go with someone you haven’t seen in years or with your best friends.
Winzig & hübsch, blitzsauber, wunderbare Küche (Taiwan), alles ganz frisch, blitzschnell zum Mitnehmen oder schön ruhig zum Sitzen. Aufmerksame & freundliche Bedienung. Kinder und nette Hunde dürfen gerne mit. Ideal für allein oder mit lieben Freunden.

Nachdem das Lokal an der Badenerstrasse geschlossen werden musste, befindet sich das chinesische Restaurant «Hot Pot» nun beim Goldbrunnenplatz, bestens erreichbar mit dem öffentlichen Verkehr (VBZ Tram 9, 14 und Bus).
Die Bedienung ist freundlich und zuvorkommend, das Essen gut.
Den «Hot Pot», in der Schweiz auch als «fondue chinoise» bekannt, gibt es allerdings nur auf Vorbestellung, denn das Ehepaar Wang legt Wert darauf, dass alle Zutaten frisch sind.

mein Lieblings Chinese, Mann Frau Team Betrieb. Er in der topsauberen Küche, sie immer gut gelaunt und freundlich im Service. Das Angebot authentisch, frisch und liebevoll zubereitet, kurze Wartezeiten und reichliche Portionen. Jede freie Minute wird vom Küchenchef dazu benutzt die eh schon saubere Küche auf Hochglanz zu polieren. My and my families favorite local Chinese, a traditional Husband Wife team. He bustling away in the spotless kitchen cooking with zest and pride in his tasty fresh food, she pleasing guests with her natural friendly smile and swift service. Portions in Take Away and Restaurant are generous and priceworthy.
